VH1's Updated Version Coming Soon - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

VH1 has a 'new' program in development - an updated version of The Partridge Family, only this time its first a reality show, then a sitcom, and will star real musicians says Hollywood Reporter. Here's the pitch - hold auditions for the musically inclined to see if they can also act (this is the reality part, 7 eps); once the show has been cast, remake the old sitcom with the whole Family dynamic fundamentally the same as the original. VH1 is looking to next year for this show to take shape; Sony Pictures Television who owns the original sitcom, will produce both the reality show and the sitcom.

I read about this 2 weeks ago, I think VH1 is stupid for even attempting anything so ridiculous.
