New LHOTP Miniseries in 2004 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I've heard bits and pieces about a more true-to-the-book miniseries based on the Laura Ingalls Wilder books. I've heard it will be a 6-hour miniseries, but I don't know much more.

Anyone else heard about this?

ABC has greenlighted a miniseries to air in the Wonderful World of Disney movie slot in the 2004 -05 season. From what i've heard the show would NOt be a continuation of Michael Landon's LHOTP series and this miniseries would stay on the same storyline as the laira Ingalls Wilder books. I've heard ( although I'm not for sure ) that if the miniseries does well enough in the ratings ABC may consider turning it into a Television series .

i know the wilder esate wasnt too happy with the little house show and maybe it wasnt like the books but when we were growing up did any of us reallay care . in fact how many of us watched the series first and then read the books.? i know i did my points are that even to though micheal landon did a botch job on the books he made one heck of a good series and alot of us are going to compre the 2 give me michaels overacted vision over accuray any day and before anybody gets mad let me say that i mean this with a great fondness for the showi just mean that with the crying and the nellie and laura rivalry and things like that the show was hard to take seriosly sometimes. this new thing might be the correct story but to those u of us h who grew up with the show as a monday night staple or in reruns it wont be as much fun.
