For a band that released ONE studio album, this is pretty sad:

Arrested Development Sue Fox

Hip-hop group Arrested Development are suing over the use of their name as the title of the new Fox TV series Arrested Development. The band have filed a trademark infringement suit against Fox, Imagine Films Entertainment Inc. and New World Communications Of Atlanta Inc. They allege that Fox's usage of the phrase will "dilute the meaning" of their name with fans. Frontman Todd Thomas says in a statement, "Fox has no more right to use 'Arrested Development' for its show than a band would have to name itself after one of Fox's sitcoms." The series airs this Sunday and stars Ally McBeal actress Portia De Rossi, Jeffrey Tambor and Jason Bateman.

I don't think they have a case. They would only have a case if another band named themselves "Arrested Development".

Think back ten years. They had a few hits with "Tennessee," "People Everyday," "Revolution" and "Mr. Wendal."

Meh, I was only 9. Maybe if I DL a song or 2, something might ring a bell, but I was never a hip hop person anyways.

Didn't they split up anyway? If so, it doesn't seem like they have a case.
If the band is still together, I think it's worth looking into, especially if their name is copyrighted.

Arrested Development made 2 cd's & yes they did split up after their 2nd cd. Speech who was the lead rapper in the group made a couple of solo albums which nobody paid attention to LOL. I liked their Tennessee, People Everyday remix, Mr Wendal, Revolution songs. Remember they had a very old man in their group? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Dionne Farris was also in their group & she left them after their first cd for a solo career. This is pretty sad for them to be suing Fox network cause a tv show is using their group name. They must need money bad LOL.
