The finale was well-done and touching but I have a few bones to pick:
- religious overtones. I respect anyone's religious views but feel they should not be "promoted" on TV where people of all religions and faiths and atheists, etc watch. I don't follow organised religion and found it irratating. However, I wonder if John Ritter is religious and it's possible that the producers were respecting him this way... - the marriage pic of Paul and Cate in the final scene: the "husband" in the pic was not John Ritter! Wonder why? - I agree with other members that the jokes were not completely appropriate and it was odd not to hear laugh tracks. - I find it interesting to view insults Paul's kids heaped on him in a positive way and it "forgives" the kids for doing this. But I would see it as disrespectful. No one should accept such insults especially from your own kids. What happens from there on? The show did not last long enough to go into syndication so we may never see 8SR unless they show re-runs of last year. |

It looked like a young John Ritter to me. I didn't recognize the young woman as Katey Sagall. Then again, when she was younger, I always saw her with the big red wig, so it could have been her. And many kids would get their face slapped if they talked to their father the way those girls did. Whether they were 'kidding' or 'didn't really mean it' or not, it's very
disrespectful. |

I agree. It was definitly a retouched photo with their faces but different bodies. The wedding photo were photos of when John and Katey were younger but they computerized them to make them look that way!!
