There are two things that Different Strokes appears to have in common with the show Maude.Actually make that three,considering how both shows had lovely luxurios homes.The other two things.Phillip Drummond and Aurther Harmon were both played by actor Conrad Bain.The other thing is the maid situation.Like Maude Finlay before him,Phillip Drummond went through three maids over the course of the series.Not to mention,his first maid Mrs.Garret was spun off to The Facts Of Life,just as Maude,s first maid Florida Evans was spun off to Good Times.Interesting parrelell.I guess both shows invovled the same writers.

i noticed that too one thing that was different was that phil drummond was a great guy anybody would like to know while dr. harmon was a jerk an idot and a few other things i cant say on here
