Default What If It Was Al Bundy?

Katey Sagal played a good dramatic role last night...Actually very sincere also although I thought the show was toooooo much!!!

Married with Children was a huge hit in the early nineties...Now if Ed O"Neill died in the height of the show's popularity I wonder how they would handle THAT?? I mean a real buffoon character in the middle of a SMASH HIT!! How would Peg Bundy act?? Would they cry for AL??

I am just talking about the contrast in characters that she plays!! Just curious on opinions of what a "Al Dies" Episode might be like!!!

I think that Peg Bundy would be upset for the same reasons that everyone else would be if they lost their spouse. Remember when they split up on the show and they both (Al and Peggy) wanted each other back they realized that they missed each other. I think she would miss Al.

As for who she gets along better with; Ed Oneil and John Ritter are two different people and she probably got along with both equally as well. I know I have different friends that I love just the same for different reasons. I dont think that if you truely care or like a person there is a limit to it or a comparison to another person since you find characteristics in others that you like that vary from person to person.

Also the premise for Married was totally different then 8SR...The show probably would have made a tribute in a different way.
Also you could ask (hope it doesnt and dont want any harm to anyone) what would happen if it were Katey Sagal as Peggy or Cate? How would the show be and how would Paul or Al react?

AH you switched tables on me!!! Well on 8sr it would not have the severity because John Ritter was 95% of the show's success...They would have had a death episode but can still have him rag on boyfriends down the road... Possibly get a new love interest..I don't see how they can do that the way it is set up now..

Al would have found a way to scam insurance money(and fail). That show was 50/50 al/peggy and would have NO chance of surviving if either died untimely..

NOW I ASK!!! WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF IT WAS TWENTYFIVE YEARS EARLIER?? WOULD THREE"S COMPANY HAVE TRIED TO SURVIVE??!!!

If Al Bundy came in, it wold take away from John Ritter's memory and be like Married with Children for the Millenium..not a good idea... maybe Al Bundy could be a neigher of theirs..now that would be plausible...

Now the context of my post had nothing to do with that possibility Or even suggesting it...But now that you mention it It seems that it might not be the stupidest thing ever thought of for a television show!!
