I am an elementary school teacher. Although I knew some of my students watched Nick@Nite, I really did not think any of them watched FOL. Today, during a math test, one of my students started singing the theme song. After my initial shock, I asked the little boy to stop so as not to disturb the class. The six year old insisted that it was his favorite show and that he thought I should watch it. Of course he had no way of knowing this had been one of my favorite shows for years, so I asked him why he thought I would like the show. His reasons were hilarious. He said that I would like it because my hair is red like Mrs. G and that he thought I looked like Natalie. He also thought I was rich like Blair, (he obviously has no idea what a teacher's salary is,)and because Jo is a girl with a boy's name and I have a boy's name too, (I do have a name that can be male or female.) He also said he saw a show where Jo was a teacher and he knew teachers liked to watch other teachers on TV. His reasons were so cute that even though I told him I had seen the show before, I had to let him think he had convinced me to watch more often. He was very pleased with himself. This story is probably of little interest to anyone but me, but I just had to share it. I guess this show has an impact on people of all ages. Even very young children.
