Was Whoppi cancelled? It didn't come on last night.

Whoopi was renewed for the whole season. NBC probably didn't want to sacrifice an episode going up against the one hour edition of 8 Simple Rules.

They did sign her on for a full season til the spring. There may be weeks she doesn't air or that there are reruns(happens with most sitcoms) I also think it was because of 8SR...

Whoopi will not air December 2nd due to two episodes of NBC's new sitcom "The Tracy Morgan Show" then it will move to 8:30pm ET Dec. 9

Now that its not airing opposite of 8SR, I was finally able to see this show again tonight.
I thought it was funny, but the "black wannabe girl" wasnt working for me. I didnt think she was funny at all.

I am positive about Whoopi and Happy Family returning for the Fall 2004 because NBC will need some returning comedies because only Will and Grace and Scrubs are the only possible returning comedies from this past year because it looks as if Good Morning Miami and Tracy Morgan are gone as well as the ending of Frasier and Friends.

GMM are TM are gone, NBC confirmed on Friday. Actually, NBC confirmed most of its fall line-up on Friday. Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays & Thursdays are bascially the same. Crossing Jordan, Third & Third Watch Will be back in their current slots.

The only question marks are Thursday at 8:30pm, Tuesday 8-9:30pm and Wednesday at 8pm. Out of all of NBC's remaining comedies, "Whoppi" has the strongest ratings and is most likely to come back.
