Hi DM, new here!

Yes I do miss Rod Serling. The television writer now days, just have no imagination.

I wasn't around for the original airing of the "Twilight Zone," but I can imagine how each week people waited to see what the show would come up with each week. Television just doesn't have that anymore which is why I don't watch very often.

If he were still alive, Rod Serling would be only 78 now (he would have been turning 79 this Christmas). He was only 50 when he died. Just goes to show what smoking four packs of cigarettes a day, and putting a lot of stress on yourself, can do to a person. I wish he were still with us, even if he wasn't writing anymore. He was a unique person and writer, and the world is poorer without him.

Default Rod Serling

Yes. Rod Serling was a great writer/host/producer/director. And his talents are
certainly missed by all who admire and appreciate great television.

I'm pretty new to the TZ board myself, which is odd that it took me this long to get here considering Rod Serling is one of my most favorite people. I just read a great article about him, apparently he started creating the stories just a stones throw from my house at Antioch University in Yellow Springs, Ohio ( which if you know the town, you can see the inspiration ) after that TW was a radio show in Cincinnati. I found that info while I was trying to find out why so many eps were set in Ohio. Sorry for ranting, I was a lil excited about the info I found.

Wow, how lucky! I think that's great and it's always interesting to find out about stuff like that.
