Default How Old is Al Lewis?

I always thought Al was born 1910. When he ran for Governor of New York in 1998 all of sudden his birth date is APRIL 1923!!!

Well www.tvtome.com says that it's April 30, 1910! And they never lie!

I think A&E Biography was the first to say 1923, but everything else had always said 1910. They do show a copy of his birth certificate during his Biography though (or something official like that) with 1923. Apparently Al likes to exaggerate things sometimes, but I don't know why he'd say he was born in 1910.

1923 would make him 81 now and 41 when the Munsters started but he looked like an old man back in 1964.

Then again 1910 would mean that a 94 year old man is running for public office. i don't know which spooks me out more.

I am not sure what to believe. I know that Al Lewis likes to exaggerate everything, as most of the internet documents say that he was born in 1910. Although more currnet and seemingly more accurate articles publish that he was born in 1923.

I tend to think he is 94. I heard he has his leg amputated. Poor soul.

Just seen a pic of him at a Jazz festival late 2003, and he still in my opinion looks great for his age whether it be 80 something or 90 something and all marbles look intact think he was doing a standup comedy thing

The following link seems to have cleared things up. It seems as though 1910 was a strory. According to his family members, he was actually born in April of 1923, which would make him 81 years old. This is funny, because Yvonne DeCarlo is 82, which would mean that the character Lily is older than her own father!
