I get to teach my science class!!! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hello, all!

This is so weird! I posted something about my science teacher on another thread that...how shall I put this...didn't portray him as a great person.

Well, that idea (or "idear", as he likes to say it...he's from Brooklyn!) hasn't changed. But something else has! I thought he had it in for me, but I guess I was wrong.

See, there's this one guy in my class who thinks he's a super-genius. He's really not, but my science teacher thinks he is. Anyway, my teacher asked me and this guy to teach portions of his science classes for tomorrow and Thursday! At first, I was all nervous, but then I started getting ideas on things we could do (like playing "Family Feud"!) and now I'm all excited...other than the fact that I have to teach about the earth's magnetic field and other such crap...

Has anybody ever taught their own class before? I need consolation!

if i was the teacher i would go online and sleep and tell everyone to do whatever they want.

Good for you, Lauren! No, I never taught a class before. I was never one to get up in front of people and talk. Good luck!

I'm really not too big on talking in front of people, either, but when my teacher asked me, I just couldn't say no! There better be some SERIOUS extra credit in this for me!

no actually i haven't taught any of my classes. i wish i could though. i think it would be fun.

To be honest, I am not much of a talker either and been known as a woman of a few words, but if a subject that interests me like politics, NFL, game shows, and/or bookstores & libraries, I would be on talking about that subject for hours & hours or even all day, everyday!!
