Does anyone have any info on the factory worker from PA who either was forced to steal platonium or made to by the masked man filmed by the camera. U don't know if he is looking into the camera as a last hope or boasting his heist.
The young girl abducted from a grocery store as her friend watched it happen. The only other details I rem was they rode their bikes there. |

2) So is Michaela Garecht, the abducted girl in question. She was kidnapped in California in 1988. UM aired a segment on her abduction in the spring of 1989. Her name was also brought up in a later segment about the 1988 abduction of Amber Swartz (which aired in 2002), due to the belief that the two kidnappings may be related. (Swartz hasn't been found either.) For more details on this, click on to the following link: http://www.unsolved.com/0239-Swartz.html |

Per Kanes statement about that kidnapped girl, facts pretty much say they are related and that the guy in question probably was involved (he even visits there graves regularly), though there is not enough to arrest him officially.
He even looks like the composite of the long haired guy who was drawn in 1988. |

Actually, it was Platinum that was stole. The whole thing seemed really weird though..at first I didn't think the guy wouldv'e did it..but when they started to mention his debt problems..I had doubts. It kinda looked like the guy in the ski mask had a gun and was holding it to the guys back...but I looked closer..and it didn't seem like it ...the looking up at the camera was a bit odd too ..and if that was Platinum in the bag ..or his body ..questions..questions..

The case had really creepy music that's been stuck in my head ever since. But I'm not even going to try and mimic it in words. LOL Personally, I feel that the intruder probably kidnapped Dale and then murdered him. Either that or Dale was double-crossed and murdered after initally being in on it. I doubted he was alive at the time of the original airing. |

Like you, I'm interested in this case. It's been 16 years since Kerstetter disappeared. Personally, I think he was involved in the platinum theft in some way. Whether his possible role was direct or indirect is hard to say. But it's obvious to me that the theft was an inside job. Besides, it was mentioned that the masked thief seemed to know where to go, even though it was during the graveyard shift, when the factory only had a limited number of lights on. |

To answer your question, I have never found such a site. But it would be nice to see one be made. I think it would be neat if the official UM site made a section that would list all the cases they profiled that were eventually resolved (much like how the America's Most Wanted web site has a section that has list of its profiled fugitives who were captured). But for now, we just may have to take what we can get. One of the main ways to find out whether a certain UM case was ever solved would be via google.com, type in specific names, and see if there's a link on the case in question. |

i thought the security camera footage was spooky because i believed it was real. then i watched the story again and they said it was reenacted! what a letdown.
