Default "Bewitched" movie

I just heard that they're making this w/Nicole Kidman & Will Farrell.
I just heard that the script is now being rewritten, which doesn't sound good. So, stay tuned....

Sounds like they're taking it in another direction. Personally I can't see these two playing Samantha and Darrin! Has Nicole Kidman done any comedy?

doesn't Nicole Kidman do "Sex & The City" or "Sex in the City" or whatever that show's called? I don't know because we don't have HBO. We used to, and I saw that show once, but I wouldn't watch it again; it's a "girl show".
I don't even know if it's still on; is it?

Your confusing Nicole Kidman with Sarah Jessica Parker. Nicole Kidman is the one who WAS married to Tom Cruise

Sara Jessica Parker would make a great Samantha, IMO.

IMHO, either Nicole Kidman or Julia Roberts can play Samantha.

both Julia Roberts & Lisa Kudrow HAVE expressed intrest in playing the role; as they're both fans of te show. Julia Roberts has also said that she'd like it if they could talk Doris Day into coming out of retirment breifly, to play Endora.

I heard they want Nicole Kiddmann for an "I Dream of Jeannie" movie.

Default THE BEWITCHED CURSE

It really sucks that Will Ferrell is going to play Darrin in the Bewitched movie!
Talk about miscasting!!!
But the real reason Jim Carrey dropped out was because the script was taking too long in rewrites & now Jim will star as Col. Steve Austin in the new Six Million Dollar Man movie & yes it's going to be a spoof like Charlie's Angels & The Brady Bunch movies.

My God, Jim! Your going to do The Six Million Dollar Man Movie, when you could have done Bewitched instead???
I am so pissed!

Yes there was talks about Will Ferrell doing a Get Smart movie & at first I could not see him as Maxwell Smart, but you know what?
I can see him more now as Maxwell Smart then Darrin Stephens.

I read somewhere that Roseanne is in talks to play Mrs. Kravitz in the Bewitched movie & if this is true, that would be cool to watch, because I think Roseanne today does look & sound alot like the late Sandra Gould, the second Mrs. Kravitz.

I also heard that Betty White would play Aunt Clara & Nathan Lane would play Uncle Arthur. Again that's perfect casting if that were to happen.

For Endora it's hard to say?
Alot of fans say Joan Collins because she was such a bitch on Dynasty, but if you watch Joan in the second Flintstones movie, "Viva Rock Vegas" where she plays Wilma's mother, you might not think she can pull off the Endora role, so back we go to the other two top contenders who are Shirley MacLaine & Angelica Houston.

If you watch Shirley in Postcards From The Edge, she does remind you a little of Endora & she is naturally a redhead, so she's got that much going for her & plus she's about the right age as Agnes Moorehead was when she played Endora.
Then you watch Angelica in The Witches & The Addams Family Movies & you just know she can pull off playing Endora with the right wig & makeup.

But for those who still think Nicole Kidman is not right, I say give her a shot.
At first my choice years ago was Meg Ryan, but Nicole is now a big star & I have seen many different photos of both Nicole & Elizabeth Montgomery & they really do look alike!

If you look on ebay, sometimes you will see an old 60's magazine of Elizabeth up for auction & you will swear it's a young Nicole Kidman.
So I think we really got lucky with Nicole coming into this.

Now lets just hope this movie does get made & we don't see anymore jinx happening!
After all this movie has been trying to get off the ground now for the last 20 years.
It was even almost made back in 1995 with Alicia Silverstone, Rob Morrow & Carol Channing, but Ted Bessell (That Girl) who was set to direct for producer Penny Marshall suffered a major heart attack.
That was very sad, but perhaps a sign from the great beyond that certain spirits do not want this movie to be made???

Hmmmmmmm....

Goodpoint.

But... I can't imagine anyone else playing Endora except for Joan Collins... just because she portrayed someone that wasn't bitchy doesn't mean she can play a real honest to goodnesss bitch.

Nathan Lane is perfect.

Betty White for Aunt Clara is perfect as well.

I JUST WISH JIM CARREY WOULD PLAY DARRIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just heard that they're not really talking to anyone about it, just yet.
Besides, just because yyou hear that they want to do a movie, doesn't mean that in 2 years or so you'll see it playing at your local cinemax. A million things can go wrong, causing a movie to be pushed back for years, or even cancelled. Some movies have been delayed for over 10 YEARS!! Like someone else said, a "Bewitched" movie was first going to be made in 1995, and I read somewher that an "I Dream of Jeannie" movie was first proposed back then, too.

I think we all know this.. I'm hoping it's made. I think the deal is they're trying to have a dual-release. Don't jinx it for us.
