Default Grace is preggers....well Messing is anyway

and she has morning sickness and that is why she was bed-ridden and quickly written out as a FULL TIME player--sending Grace off to cambodia with Leo--and she will most likely return preggers & showing w/ new tales of impending motherhood -- oh brother! Did NBC learn nothing froim FRIENDS with their baby fever that kills comedy.

seems now that DEBRA has her emmy (they all do) & the show
is committed thru 2005 -- and already in syndication
they are letting this show unravel !

how dare they keep WILL the single and pathetic gay and let GRACE evolve into a a married & a mommy.

imdb says this

Meanwhile, the writers of NBC's Will & Grace have quickly had to revise the scripts for the Thursday-night staple, sending Grace, the character played by Debra Messing, off to Cambodia. TV Guide reported on its website that Messing, who is pregnant and has not been feeling well, was given a reduced work schedule. NBC has not indicated when she will return to the role full-time.

I would never, never write that pregnancy into the story.

How are they going to get rid of Leo now?

Default marriage + baby == goodbye gay pals

from my experience with straights in suburbia, once
they are married and have kids they have very little time , energy
or patience for their gay pals.
Often they are resentful of the freedom their childless or gay pals
have....and the friendship dwindles.

now- Grace is a selfish, neurotic JAP and being a mommy will
probably not be a big deal for her...just an accesory she can carry around Manhattan in baby dwsigner duds.

so maybe the baby is not a big deal.

what is a big deal is that after 5 seasons the writers have not let WILL have a steady boyfriend.
C'mon he is a wealthy lawyer w/ a hot body living in Mahattan--
let's get real. It is nothing shot of bigotry and NBC homophobia
to keep the gays single and alone --and have the straight GRACE
as the only character evolving. I hope GLAAD stops giving them awards.

I doubt they will hide Grace's pregnancy...LEO is here to stay.
sadly. They will certainly not send GRACE home pregnant and then miscarry-- that is morbid and would spook the actress who is REALLY pregnant.

so- that means a visibly preggo GRACE will return mid-season --
or atleast in time for MAY sweeps to give birth.

for W&G, This is all a bad dream...shaded of RHODA marrying drippy JOE then being stuck with him....or SHIRLEY being
quickly married to cover her pregnancy which eventually was
mentioned and she left show.

sad when funny sitcoms implode...
even Sadder when a GAY sitcom only addresses the changes of life for heterosexuals.

Anyone who ever watched the Cosby show back in the 80's knows that Philicia Rashad (Clair) got pregenant around the 4th season. The production crew and staff were very clever in hiding her pregnant belly. (Raising the counter top in the kitchen, making a hole in the bed mattress so that when she layed in it, her stomach wouldn't show, leaving camera angles of her from the shoulders up and using any actor or prop to cover her stomach.)

That has been the norm for many TV shows over the years when a actress got pregnant. (Also Jennie Garth on 90210 went through the same thing.) It's not perfect, but it will work.

Leaving the pregnancy out of the storyline is a good move. I remember being scared to death when the writers were going to have Will and Grace have a baby together - thank GOD that never happened. I don't watch Will and Grace for "huggy humor."

I too am glad they are not writing it in the show, but with Grace gone what is happening to this show, hopefully the time in Cambodia will make her want to divorce Leo, I do like Harry but he has messed up the whole dynamic of the show.

Also Will should get a boyfriend, I am sick of seeing him without a long term boyfriend, Grace has had Nathan and Leo why can't Will have someone, even if it only last four eps or something.
