Okay, here's the problem.
This isn't my camera...but here it is... It's my dad's, he has a Kodak 2.2 Megapixel DX3600 zoom digital camera that he got in about early-mid 2001. The DC itself works fine & everything, no problem. But, I'm having trouble with the transfer software program. It was working fine up until August (it says I last transferred the pictures on about 8-1-03, I think), but now it just does not read my camera when I put it on its base (we have a base thing with a button you push to make the base transfer the pictures to computer). I've tried everything -- including reinstalling it -- to no avail. When I plug it in to the base, the light on the base comes on like it should, no problem, so I press the button on it but nothing happens. The cursor doesn't change (it always changes when we transfer pics onto computer) and nothing comes up. Not even anything to let me know it's transferring. NOTHING. When I go to My Computer, there's a Digital Camera icon like it should be. When I don't have the camera sitting on the base to transfer, it's just a plain icon that says Digital Camera with a plain picture of a digital camera. When I put it on its base, the icon is supposed to change to a very pretty icon of what the Kodak digital camera looks like, then it changes to "Kodak Digital Camera" or something. You know, the same idea as when you're not using your D drive and it has a plain icon and when you put a CD in, the icon name changes and depending on what kind of CD it is, the icon changes sometimes. I think the problem may lie in that I am missing an important driver for it because I have gone to Device Manager and I don't see a driver anywhere for it. I went to Kodak's site to see if there was somewhere I could get a driver for it (again, the model is DX3600 from appx. early-mid 2001), but they don't have DX3600 listed on there. ![]() HELP...........I'm frustrated! And my dad took some pics that he wants me to print out and I can't transfer pics over to the comp.

Hmm yeah I don't know. But Kodak sucks. I bought this 6-in-1 card reader thingy and it doesn't even read my memory stick. It worked when I first installed it, and now it doesn't, and its pissing me off.

I have the same camera mine works perfectly. Sounds like you have tried everything. Do you still have the manual, maybe there is a troubleshooting guide in it. If you don"t have it let me know and I'll try to find mine. Good Luck!
