Default Stories you can NEVER live down...

Got any?

My family has never let my cousin live down one New Years Eve. I think it was Y2K and my cousin Joy and I went up to Safeway to get limes for the beer. There were prolly 10 ppl there...not even HALF were drinking. 5 limes for a dollar...

We bought 7. I mean...really, I can't figure out WHAT we were thinking. I think we used ONE.

Now everyone...share you're lovely story. I might think of another one later.

I was at my grandma's house on a vacation. I had to sleep on the couch. Fine. Well, my grandma gets up and lets the cats out of their room. They wander around the living room while I'm still asleep. Few minutes later, I wake up, open my eyes, and find a cat staring me in the face. The cat's face couldn't have been 6 inches away. Me, being scared of cats, jumps off the couch. My family laughs at me.

I myself don't have one. But me and my brother MAKE sure my cousin doesn't live any story down.

1) Me my cousin and my brother were playing baseball, I hit the ball and it him in the crotch.

2) Same story- 2nd time.

3) My uncle told him to back the up there truck. He didn't know which one was the break and ran over my uncles foot!! Then he actually hit my uncle and he jumped in the bush's. Now he's in a cast, cain.

Nothing really... except about a month ago one of my closest.. friends.. person.. whatever you wanna call her.. was over and we somehow got on the fact that she had built her new house on "Barney" st... and of course I got a kick out of it and started cracking up, and she hit me in the arm and we had a few laughs about it... and then my mother has the audacity to tell her that when I was little I was obsessed with Barney and had everything under the sun Barney.. so everytime we see eachother or talk on the phone, one of us brings up Barney..

so yeah the point of me rambling on and on is that my family never lets me forget that I was obsessed with Barney the Magic Dinosaur.

Then there was this time about 2 winters ago that I was skiing up at Catamount with my cousin... we had just got done doing a Double Black Diamond trail, which is the hardest there is, and I had no problem with it... so we decided to go on a green circle trail, which is the easiest. Now I've been skiing for many years, so you'd think I'd have no problem whatsoever. Well.. I wasn't even going that fast.. I flew RIGHT into the bushes. I mean, people were going by and saying "Is that a girl in the bushes?!" and laughing at me. I was FAR in. My cousin had to take off my skis to help me get out. Oh God it was hilarious. My skiing side of the family never lets me live that one down.

My doctor's office is on Barney Dr.

Well one time I was at my friends house and we were listening to music and one line was like "i want to put my tongue in your mouth..." and then a big pause....and we all kinda laughed at that and my one friend was talking and wouldnt shut up and then the next half of that line was "...to stop the words from coming out..." And I said "Thats what I want to do to you!" And I SO did NOT mean it that way....cuz I had forgotten about the tongue thing....I just wanted her to shut up.

I was at work in March out of town. During a mix of rushing around, my foot got caught in a slight dip in the concrete floor I was moving around in (quickly) and my ankle rolled. I ended up having a partially torn ligament and water in the joint of my ankle (that is still there. They want to suck it out with a needle!). I was in an air cast and on crutches for 3 weeks. My boss/friend to this day (just 3 days ago actually) re-enacts when happend and everyone has a big howl and laugh over it. The joke continues that I have such bad luck with everything I do (and it's basically true) and it continued 2 weeks ago with the whole car fire.

Never will I ever live down falling in front of about 300 people and tearing ligaments in my ankle.

Didn't happen to me, but instead, someone I know online.

I went online under the name of "BritishDude4You" and started IMing her. Well, halfway into the conversation, I started telling her how great Britain is and how horrible the states are and how they do everything the wrong way. She had no idea it was me and even IMed Amy saying she's talking to this British guy and how he's starting to piss her off. So I just kept going for another half-hour until I said I had to go. Me and Amy broke the news to her a few days later and could not stop laughing. It was great. Anytime I see her, I ask her how her "British" friend is doing.

OK, so last summer my friend Rachel had a campout and we were telling scary stories and she said "I am not leaving this tent." And my other friend Shannon and I said she was being a baby so Rachel dared us to walk down to the creek and stand there for ten minutes. So we stood there talking about how paranoid Rachel was and I heard a loud noise and a flash of white so I ran back to the tent screaming. Then Shannon said " Oh, look,Hannah, a goose." And every time we see a duck or a goose they say " Hannah, look it's your friend."

Red face

I like this thread!

I have one that happened to me about a month ago.

Before I tell you, you have to understand that I'm not the best cook in the world. I hate it! The only thing I EVER make is my breakfast, and that's only sometimes!

Well, my family and I were watching a movie, and I felt like popcorn, so I decided to go make some. BIG MISTAKE. I don't think I'd ever made popcorn before.

So, after it was done, I ran downstairs all pround of myself saying, "I cooked! I cooked!" like a big baffoon. We ate about half of it, and my mom looked down at the bag and there's this shiny stuff on it. Turns out, I didn't know I had to take the plastic off before microwaving!!! My parents will NEVER let me live THAT one down!!!

Later.

~Lauren

Freshman year there was a huge party at the union where all freshman got in for free. Great party - all 3 floors were full of stuff: pool, lazer tag, raffles, and... a hypnotist.

We got in late and so we got stuck sitting in the very back of the room. He'd already picked his volunteers, so we were just there to watch. Then he turned off all the lights and turned on this violet one at the front - that's all I remember. Apparently I fell out of my chair and he came all the way to the back to check on me. I remember getting up and running to the front - then nothing. Apparently I did the Macarena, pretended I was bird, and couldn't remember my first name.... Sheesh. I remember waking up and wondering how I got on stage and my friends were up front laughing so loud... They LOVE to tell that story

To this day (3 years later) strangers will still stop me and go "weren't you that girl that got hypnotized freshman year?"
