Default Mama"s Family on Nick@Nite

Mama's Family should come on Nick@Nite because i't a late 80's/early 90's sitcom. Who agrees with me!

I totally agree. This is a classic show. It used to be televised at 10:00 by a local independent station here and I watched it every night.

I record both eps at 6 and 6:30 every weekday and watch it everynight around 10pm. In a way, I make my own N@N dreams happen!

TBS has been very good to Mama's Family by airing it for years now. N@N would not be that kind. They are always bumbing their shows to super late time slots, except the Cosby Show and their recent additions. Believe me, visit some other boards and you will see a lot of N@N hostility.

I think nick at nite will only ruin it like the way they ruin perfect strangers, Roseanne when they talk over it at the very end and how they skip alot of the three's company epsiodes. It's safer on tbs. But good idea though.

You are correct -- Mama's Family is one of the few shows they didn't squish the closing credits on. They do that to waaaaaaaay too many TV shows those days. I agree, MF should NOT be on N@N because it would get all messed up there. I just wish TBS would air "Gert Rides Again".

If they put MF on N@N, then:

1. The closing credits would get squished and you don't want that.
2. They would cut out even more scenes to allow for EVEN more commercials.
3. They wouldn't air MF episodes in order.
4. MF would be run into the ground.

I could go on.

Sorry, but I'm against having it put on N@N. I HATE N@N with a passion.

I love Mama's Family and I also thought that it should be on N@N but then I got to thinking. They probably would do it like Perfect Strangers. TBS has been absolutely wonderful to Mama. I tape it in the morning and the ones I miss I can be sure that it would be around again for me to tape.Unlike N@N TBS goes in order year after wonderful year. So thanks to TBS for being our Mamas family station.

They air Roseanne episodes in order and they don't cut episodes. Though, I did like Roseanne on TBS more. I wish Mama's Family would be shown at a decent hour on TBS, like at 4 or 6 PM, not AM. Plus, nothing happens over the end credits anyway.

I know...But I still don't like them squashing the credits, because that's when they show the guest stars at the end. I like to be able to know who guested as what character, etc.

Roseanne is relatively new to N@N, but they've been butchering TV shows on it for years, like Three's Company for one. They skip up to 5 episodes at a time, completely butcher the episodes and squash the ending credits so badly, it's not even funny. They've been squashing the credits to The Carol Burnett Show on TVLand and I'm not happy about that.

I like the way MF is and they don't need to screw it up.
