Default The Nightmare Before Christmas?

What do you all think of this movie? I love it- lots of people don't understand why I do- which is too bad. Tomorrow I'm going to watch it probably. Songs are great!

I really like it, I think it's a film that both kids and adults can enjoy. I agree that the songs are good too. I should probably go out and buy it on DVD.

I've always loved this movie. It really made 3-D animation the next big movement, and it did it so much better than Toy Story. It's so styalistic (I love Tim Burton) and I'm also going through a Chris Sarandon phase right now, so I'm watching this one all the time

I love that movie. I have a Nightmare Before Christmas lamp in my living room and I always get compliments on it when ever someone comes over.

Is it true that in america the film has like a gothic cult following now? I can understand how that would happen. I'd love to see Burton do another film similar to this- either a sequel or a whole new film, with this type of model-animation and story. I can't find my video of it but!

Supposedly. But those little poser kids usually only like it because its "dark".

Tim Burton's certainly got a cult-following, I don't know if this movie has one of its own, but it wouldn't surprise me. BTW, Burton's now living in London

Ok I must confess something...i am scared ****less of this movie. Man, I can hold my own with hithcock films, the exorcist, even spielberg Steven King movies. But Holy cow start singing "what's this? what's that? " I break down. I saw it when I was six or seven for the first time and started to cry when Jack starts touching all the sleeping children...I was so scared he was going to come through my window and start touching me. I had nightmares with him chasing me, and people being like "it's ok" his voice still sends shivers through my body...and 10 years later...i still can't sit through the movie. There I confessed...

Aww, how could you not like Jack? I thought he was so cool when I first saw this movie. He's not an evil character he's just curious and he's just searching for something more. I think you should try watching it again, it's really a great movie, but if you still don't want to it's ok. I myself happen used to be afraid of a movie and it was kind of embarrassing but I'll admit that I was afraid of the Disney movie The Shaggy Dog. I still have no desire to watch it again, it was really creepy, imo.

I remember seeing this in theaters. I really loved it. Another film with a similar form of animation is James and the Giant Peach, which I also saw in theaters and was also very good.

That's true - but I didn't like that movie cuz it was too dark for that story. (I loved the book and that movie did not do it justice) but artistically it's a good comparison
