Would you rather have seen Joe and Helen have a normal wedding, where Joe's arm wasn't stuck in the toilet? Or did you like it the way it was? In sitcoms big events like that are never normal. I can only imagine what the writers would have done if Helen was pregnant. Just where she would give birth. Probably in the backseat of Roy's car.

I liked the entire concept of "everything going wrong" and thought it was pretty funny. I liked that much better then if they had tried to have this pictue perfect wedding.
But in the end, I still wish the actual ceremony or at least the vows hadn't of taken place with his hand in the toilet. To me it was one of those deals where it was a good idea taken just a tad too far. I mean come on...worst case scenario Lowell turns off the water to the toilet and takes the HUGE wrench and splits that sucker wide open so Joe can get his hand out. Joe may have had a heart attack when he was presented a bill by the hotel for the repairs, but Joe would have preferred that, rathe then getting married with his hand in the toilet. |

Least you forget that Lowell was idolizing MacGyver in the episode. He should have at least taken a lamp and turned it into a blowtorch to cut the toilet bowl or something. Boy, Lowell would get along well with Patty and Selma from 'The Simpsons'. |

I've still never seen this episode.
They better show it this time around! It reminds me of something that just happened though... The other day, my Dad was in New York City, and I think it was at Grand Central Station (I'm not exactly sure though), some guy got his arm stuck in a toilet because he dropped his cell phone in, and tried to go after it, but it was an automatic-flushing toilet, so just as he went for the phone, the toilet flushed and sucked his hand down the toilet and he got stuck, and the fire department and everything had to come to get the guy's arm out of the toilet. hahaha. When I heard that story, I thought of the Joe and Helen's wedding episode with Joe's hand stuck in the toilet. lol! |
