Ok, is anyone else getting worried about the status of our beloved show? I mean, it seems like as the time passes, more and more things are going wrong. Cutting back to once a night is one thing, but they're putting it in a rough time slot where it has to compete with first-run prime-time schedules on other channels. We've lost our early morning repeats, and now it seems that we won't get it at all on weekends. I can live with this no back-to-back episodes thing, but everything else is starting to worry me that they're going to phase the show out of the line-up completely. It makes me thing that maybe the show is getting bad enough ratings to warrant them doing this. And now they're not even showing the pilot on Diff'rent Strokes? Makes me feel like something funny is going on here, and I don't like it one bit.

I am getting worried too. All the things you said are very true. Maybe the reason they started FOL from the 1st season was to get higher ratings. Maybe they know that some people do not like the last few seasons. (I personally like them)Anyways, I agree with you. I do not know the reason they took it of the morning schedule means it had bad ratings, because Diff'rent Strokes was taken of the morning too, and I thought it was doing good. Maybe not. Oh well, we have to keep writing!

What I noticed about the new schedule is that with the exception of Three's Company and the Brady Bunch is that the shows on twice a night have had a fandemonium on TVLand. I guess those got good ratings so they decided to give those shows the double time slots. With this scenario, FOL just needs to have a fandemonium. Personally, I want to be able to watch FOL at least once a night and I also want to be able to catch five minutes of it when I have to get up at 5 am for morning practice Wednesday mornings, but oh well.

Nick At Nite is never in the top 10 in the cable ratings. Rugrats is like at #7 sometimes, but that's about all. I mean like 30% of viewers record Facts Of Life episodes. I didn't start until the 1984-1985 taping the episodes.

What are you talking about Andrew? Nick at Nite is like the #1 rated cable network and have been for the last few years. Three's Company is consistently in the top 10 rated programs on cable nightly.

I wonder....if FOL's ratings weren't so good on N@N, then how come FOL won a time slot so many times back when N@N had "Make your own Sunday" airing? I thought that the purpose of MYOS was for N@N to determine what fans want to see most!

N@N doesn't have Episode 24 and a number of other DS episodes not listed anymore. Check there website out.
Also yes, Nick/N@N is #1 for cable (throughout the day). In primetime (8-11pm) Three's Company is doing very well in the ratings, it made the Top 3 3-4 times since January, it could have been more but it was airing 11-12 from Oct-Jan...TC is the only N@N show ever in the Top 3, and maybe even 10. |

I think we are justified in being worried here...Actually, I became concerned when Nick cut back on the back to back the first time in January. Everyone told me to relax and be grateful that N@N was showing FOL and that one new episode a night would be good because then the audience wouldn't be oversaturated.
Well, now it looks like Nick is cutting back showing FOL and I wouldn't be surprised to see it not on the fall schedule at all when the new shows like 'Family Ties' are aired. Maybe I'm being too negative but I have seen Nick do this with too many of my other favorite shows. Actually, I am still angry that they so abruptly cut back to the first season. I wish that they would just air the episodes that they have on their schedule because even the most devoted fans cannot keep up with these constant changes. PS: leslie I believe Brady Bunch did have a fandemonium about 6 weeks ago. [This message has been edited by Michele35 (edited 04-01-2001).] |

What I can't understand is, why would FOL be removed from the lineup? It has such a following, and I would think that the rating would be good with all the viewers that it has. I don't get it!

Michele-forgot to add that in there, but Brady Bunch is the only show to have a fandemonium, but is still on only once a night. That's my theory!

Actually, TJ, callmetootie, I believe you are both right. callmetootie is referring to top 10 weekly ratings for cable shows. I just checked, and Rugrats was the only NICK show to end up in the top 15. But if you are looking for a single night, TJ is indeed right.
