They won't ever show the following episodes:
Dope [The cocaine episode] Breaking Point [Suicide] Fear Strikes Back [rape] Front Page [cocaine] I'm Dancing As Fast As I Can [strippers] With A Little Help From My Friends [more cocaine] The First Time [sex, sex, sex] Post Christmas Card [credit card debts?] The New Life ------------------ Andrew Carden |

Episode #209 "On the Edge" also deals with suicide. Did it air? I noticed Nick's double standard because an episode of The Jeffersons aired last night that addressed the topic. Before anyone gets bent out of shape, Nick also skips episodes of The Jeffersons as well.

Post Christmas Card will air, I think only around the holidays. There is nothing controversial about it.
Also add to your list The Source from Season 4 which USA skipped several times. On the Edge did not air on Nick at Nite. |

I know for a fact that Nick at Nite will never air Ready or Not either BECAUSE it deals with the issues of "safe sex" and using protection when you do have sex. This also was the ONLY episode that the Facts of Life ever did that dealed with the usage of condoms and such. Very contraversial episode if you ask me.

I thought that suicide episode was kinda depressing. I also have seen the episode where Natalie had sex.

I think they should air the suicide episode. I have actually thought about committing suicide and almost did sooo...they should air it. I didn't commit suicide because of Jo. I'm alot like her. To make this simple let me put a diary entery of mine in this post.
Nancy McKeon is my role model. When I get older I want to be an actress. The reason I choose her to be my role model is simply because I think she is a great actress. I love the way she played Jo on the eighty’s sitcom “The Facts Of Life”. I enjoy watching her play that part because she plays it so well. Jo is who I look up to in real life right now. With me being a tomboy of sorts I have been faced with some life or death decisions during my pre-teen years. I have thought a lot about so many things. I have been made fun of in school since about first grade. And now in fifth grade the kids still make fun of me. I have never been one of the popular girls and now it is just getting worse. I am doing everything I can possibly cram into my schedule. At one point in time I was being made fun of so badly I couldn’t even concentrate in class. All I could think about was the kids’ voices making fun of me. I felt so bad that I felt like committing suicide. Then I started watching “The Facts of Life” which later became to being known as one of my favorite TV shows. I felt like I could relate to Jo in so many ways. Though my parents are still married I have so many problems at school. I get good grades, and I prove that I am just as good at a lot of things as the popular girls. Yet at school I still have more problems than possible. I figured that if there were more people like me…and more people like Jo that I wasn’t alone and I could make it through. Once I realized that I had a better attitude and a better time at school. I finally realized it was all thanks to Nancy McKeon. If she didn’t play the part of Jo, or if I never found out about Nancy McKeon and Jo I may as well be dead right now. Nancy McKeon now plays in the new series on Lifetime “The Division”. I find strength in her character Jinny Exstead to keep moving on and living my life. Jinny has so many flaws, like me that I can find the strength in her that I need. So I would just like to say thank-you to Nancy McKeon for playing the part in my life she plays right now. I may not be alive without her. |

Jo's Girl,
It is incredibly amazing and brave of you to post such profound statements. All I can say is stay strong. You sound like a real survivor. And I really hope that Nancy McKeon is able to read your post so that she can know how powerful her portrayal of Jo was to so many people..then and even now 20 years later. |
