Cool

As I remember it she was studying at the Sorbonne in Paris. There was an episode where she was considering becoming an au pair for an Italian family (who came to the apartment to interview her) but she made a guest appearance in an episode about Drummond's birthday where she said she might be back in NY after the current semester.

But bear in mind - I very probably haven't seen all the episodes, never mind in the right order, and I've very little knowledge about the behind-the-scenes stuff.

I haven't actually seen the episode were she goes to Paris, but when she returned as a guest in "Happy Birthday Drummond" she appeared in quite a few other episodes after that.

Well at least Dana still had a recurring role for the last 2 seasons. I thought that was still nice of the producers. At least she didn't leave the show entirely. Right now TNN is airing the episode about epillepsy.

Yes, she did have the baby. It was a boy named Tyler who will turn 18 in July. There are some pics of him on Dana's memorial site.

Exclamation why dana plato left the show

my believing to why dana plato left the show was-
-she became highly addicted to drugs, one reason for this addiction was to deal with the fame!
-the show took off and the pressure was to much for her and drugs was her only help
-after leaving the show she got involved on to the porn scene, which she then became a hardcore pornstar
-she got involved with the wrong people, getting involved with shootings and such
-she then came to her death by being murdered through drugs.
-she was a talented actor and was a great asset of the show but it seemed for many of the actors the future after the show was not good.

Okay, just a couple of things:
1) Dana didn't get involved in the porn scene right after DS. She posed for Playboy in 89 and made one movie considered softcore porn "Different Strokes."
2) What shootings did she get involved in? She was arrested for holding up a Las Vegas video store, but there was no shooting involved.
