Richie Family's "Brazil" was a disco remake of a classic song from 1943 and it was used in Disney's animated film "Saludos Amigos". Dickie Goodman's "Mr. Jaws" was a spoof of the "Jaws" movies that sampled 70's tunes. I have it on a 45.

Come to think of it, that's also the day "Staurday Night Live" premiered!

You hear that sort of thing in a lot of places. That's not my milieu. Rock and roll is good-time music. I love rock. So did my parents.
