I've noticed that now Nick-at-Nite doesn't air every single episode. Instead, they've been airing certain episodes. I wonder why? I'm missing some good taped-quality episodes recorded in SVHS since I bought my new VCR this March, so I really want N@N to air those rarely-aired episodes....

It's a way to conserve shows. If they showed all eps in order by show date, the viewers will tune out after a few months when they watched all the eps.
By showing every say, third episode, they can be sure that people will stick around for the next cycle of shows (when it goes back to the early eps). MT |

I remember before when they were airing back to back and when they cut to 1 a night they started showing every other episodemeaning if say when they were back to back and episode 3 was on and 4 was to follow, when they went to 1 a night it would be episode 3 and then epiosde 5 the next night.does any 1 remember that.
Ticked me off as i was trying to get them all on tape,i dontknow why i never recorded them long ago when they were on a local pittsburgh station back in the mid 80s. seems like every 1 even people back in the early 80s who had vcrs rarely taped there favorite shows to keep until a few yrs or so ago we all seem to have started to. i know a lot of people who have.aand when they had them in the 80s didnt. like all the wrestling i have on tape, been a fan for 25 yrs but never started to tape and keep it weekly til the late 80s. sorry i rambled on here |

I remember in the very early 80s wanting to record all my favs forever but the cost of blank tapes was prohibitive. I used to have 3 scotch tapes at a cost of about $5 per blank. Had to use them over and over - just could not afford. I still have all those old scotch tapoes today, too. They last around 2 h 25 in SP mode - real kick tail tapes. |
