and I quote from the shelley Long asylum...

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* In 1990, Keiko said, "It was inferred I was replacing Laurence Olivier and I thought, 'Give me a break!'".
* On her first screen call Keiko reputedly came on set in a blonde wig and proceded to do 'Shelley-isms' to the amusement of the cast and crew.
* When Shelley turned up for the 200th show, the gang hissed behind her back and Keiko wouldn't even look at her.
* In 1993, just prior to the final Cheers episode, Keiko expunged, "I just want to thank Shelley Long for this six-year gig and ask her, 'What were you thinking? You're stupid!'".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Which was extremely childish of everybody but the person who least had a reason to act like that towards Shelley was Kirstie.

That's so obnoxious but i still think rebecca is kinda funny....i knew i heard that on some interview...i think from the E! true hollywood story or ET ...something, i know it was written like that but i still feel that you can sense the tension between the two charcters on One for the Road....maybe that's just my opinion though

Thanks again Maria or as Diane would say MERCI in French. I think that was sooo funny all of the times she broke out speaking French...

Perhaps Kirstie felt threatened -- after all, if Shelley ever wanted her job back, I'm sure they would have given it to her, and where would that leave Kirstie?

The thing that bothers me about Kirstie is that she is so thankless, at least that's how she acts. If it weren't for cheers, she would be NOWHERE! (at least thats what i think, who knows what would have actually happened. I think that they MIGHT have given shelley her job back, but the show was doing so well without her why would they hire her back? they really didn't need her to boost ratings.

I really don't think they would've rehired Diane, it just wouldn't have made sense at that time.

For some reason I find those hard to believe especially the quotes. On the 200th episode didn't Kirstie say she was nervous about replacing Shelley? I also doubt that Kirstie called Shelley stupid, that just doesn't seem believable to me. Remember, this information comes from the Shelley Long Asylum, which is biased toward Shelley Long, so I'm not so quick to believe those things unless they have been mentioned by another source.

I've never heard these quotes before. I can't believe that Kiristie and the other cast members would treat Shelley so badly. That's horrible. Shelley Long brought as much to that show if not more than Kirstie Alley did.
