Default Oi...

I was really looking forward to seeing last night's episode. 10 minutes before the show aired, i decided to just "rest my eyes" for five minutes. the next thing i knew, i woke and it was 12:30 am. i didn't set my vcr to tape er either. so, i missed it. would anyone be so kind to help me out by giving me a short summary of what happened?

It had a lot to do with the doctors and nurses wanting having to stay after their shifts had ended because of the back-up in the ER, hence the name "Shifts Happen", lol. Anyway, Pratt is on for the night shift, and all during the beginning and through out the show, it seems like he's "Super Doc", because it's just like him and a bunch of med students, and a 2nd year who does absolutely nothing. So Pratt keeps taking all of the charts and stuff. Then during the end all of the stuff that he did to the patients keeps backfiring and they have to come in for surgery or what not, so Pratt gets into trouble.
Also, Abby goes and asks Richard for his signature on her loan thingy. I thought this part was funny because when Abby rings the doorbell, Richard's wife comes to the door with a baby in her arms, and when she sees Abby she screams for Richard that his ex is there, and in the background in the hall there's toys scattered all over. When Richard comes out into the hall, he kicks all of the toys out of his way...which reminded me of how happy he was to be getting a son in the episode where he tells Abby that he's getting married again. lol - Anway, Abby decides to go back to Med School because she needs the money...
And I guess it turns out that Luka and Gillian aren't together, she had to leave for the airport to meet her real boyfriend right as Abby was showing up to have dinner with them and Luka's apt...interesting.
That's all I can think of, besides Corday and Dorset still being together, and Romano getting a prothetic arm thing, which was pretty cool...I probably missed some stuff, but I hopet hat helps!

I miss Carter so much! If I counted rite he will be back in 4 episodes. He misses 6 all together. I read somewhere that he will do a full season next year!

one more question...who was that girl who they showed in the previews who was like "you can't do that....i know..." (something like that)? was she related to one of pratt's patients?
