Question Worst Injury?

This is a question, not a poll:what is the worst injury a person
on this board has suffered? Anyone can tell their story.

Moved but there is a similar topic so I don't know if you'll get a lot of responses in this thread.

I once cracked my head running into a television set when I was 6. That hurt let me tell you.

ooo oooo good topic.

i got a hole in my head when i was about 2. i think thats what made me have ESP cause i saw on unexplained mysteries that severe head injuries can give you psychic abilities. anyways, i was at the park and there was a ditch with pokey rocks sticking out of it and i fell over and got a hole in my head. i actually remember a few seconds of leaving the park to go to the ER. i pass by that park time to time and the stupid people havent fixed the ditch.

also, last year i was walking out of the computer room and got really dizzy but i ignored it and before i knew it i got so dizzy i fainted but i was still walking (hell if i know how.. it was weird, it felt like the moment wasnt happening) then i felt my foot hit something, then my head hit something and i woke up and i was on my bedroom floor. my mom said she heard a loud bang from the other side of the house from when i hit my head. and i still have a bump on the side of my head from it. i was lucky i barely felt it though since i was unconscious.

OMG, Sarah, I am literally ing at your cat post! I must be a freak too...

Okay anyway ummmm worst injuries? I could name a few.

1. In the fall of 1990 when I was 5, I went with my sis and a friend of hers for a walk (they were both 8 at the time). Okay umm we only got like 2 blocks from our house when I tripped and fell (facedown) over nothing. My glasses broke clean in half and I cracked open my left eyebrow. It was bleeding so much, my sis and her friend had to grab one of my arms each and run me all the way home...my dad took me to the ER and I ended up getting 3 stitches. Still have the scar to prove it!

2. I broke my right collarbone sledding during Thanksgiving vacation in 3rd grade (this was in 1993). I had to wear a brace for like 6 weeks. No PE for me!

3. I went rollerblading the summer before junior year in HS...Same as #1, I tripped and fell over nothing, only my glasses didn't break. I had no protection on, so no wristguards on. I totally royally messed up my right wrist (and I'm a righty). It's OK now, but it'll never be right again. I sprained it soooooooooooooooooo bad, it hurt like a f0cking SOB and I had to have my arm in a sling for a week. That's how bad it was. Almost a year later, my injury came back and my wrist hurt for 3 weeks straight. Jesus, that really hurt.

And..ummmm that's all I can think of.

Well in 2000 I fell at work and injured my shoulder and ribs. I also have a herniated disk in my neck, which constantly feels like I have a 24/7 stiff neck. My shoulder is permanently injured, they call it a permanent partial disability. I have constant pain in my shoulder, Neck and ribs. I also have to fight with workers comp to even go to the doc.

That's mine

When I was about 7 or 8, I was riding a very dangerous thing called a scooter. I must have been riding too fast because I hit the wrong brake trying to turn and I flew over the handlebars and landed face first on the sidewalk. All the neighbors heard me crying as I went in the house (tracking blood) looking for my dad who wasn't there and my mom was out shopping. I went back outside to go find my aunt (who lived next door) and on the way I saw my dad who was at my aunt's house the whole time and they took me to the ER where I got 15 stitches in my chin, I have a scar to prove it.

7th grade I was walking to the back of the room with a book, piece of paper, and a pen. I was wearing a brown couderroy (sp) dress and those jellies. I skipped over a backpack, slipped or triped, and did a bellyflop, throwing everything in my hand across the room. Everyone stared at me with open mouths. I kinda blacked out for a sec. and opened my eyes. All the air was blown out of me. I got up and felt fine. Then my arm started to hurt. Went to the nurse, told me to come back later. Went a few more times... finally sent me home. I had a broken elbow. Waited 4 hours at the hospital to get looked at. OMG the x-rays hurt like a bitch!!! The nurse was forcing my elbow to go all the way down-- meangya I couldnt bend it! They put a temp. cast on and the next day I went to the special doctor. He said that it was weird because most elbows when they break, break across.. mine broke going up towards my shoulder. He said if it was any closer to the shoulder, I wouldve had to have gotten surgery. Then he said that my elbow was popped out of my socket and he had to push it back in. He offered me novacaine, but I dont like needles, so I decided to take it full pain. It hurt, but only for a second. This probably wouldnt classify as the worst pain, but its the only time Ive broken something.

someone was trying to wack a sprite can with a really huge stick (like the sticks on brooms)... well, as he hit it, he ended up hitting me on the chin, and i was spurting out blood from my face. I ran in withblood leaking, and ironically it was almost Halloween, so we had a bloody driveway without having to get any fake blood.

Well, when I was little I had to wear a a hockey helmit cause I was so clumsy. I would run into tables, walls, lamps, and I once ran into my dog, face first. It hurt. So my parents made me wear a hockey helmit.

Probably my worst injury ever happened when I was about 4, or 5 years old. I was playing outside with my brother, and I fell face first on a nail. I don't really remember it, but my mom told me I was screaming in pain, and blood was squirting everywhere. The only reminder I have of this injury is a little scar above my right eyebrow that I see every morning when I look into the mirror.

The second worst injury I can recall having happened when I was 14. I had just gotten out from a week stay in a mental hospital, and was prescribed with this anxiety medication that basically gave me little, or no fear. Well one day I had the genius idea to stand on the bottom bench of the school bleachers, and use the wet pole in front of me to catapult myself off of as I hoped to land nice and gently 6 feet down onto the High School track below. BIG MISTAKE! I ended up slipping on the wet pole, and fell face first, 6 feet down onto the cement below. I was there alone, so I just laid there in pain for a few minutes before stumbling my way back home. When I looked in the mirror my whole face was covered with blood, my nose was crooked, and my neck was in agony. To this day I still have neck pain. I told my mom what had happened, and the next day I was off that medication permanentaly. I was lucky she didn't put me back in the mental hospital!

There are a few more pretty bad injury stories I have, but those are the two worst.
