Taking a cue from the title of her latest album, Hilary Duff has transformed herself from a teen TV and movie star to a nationally touring concert attraction — at least for the time being.

Duff is getting ready to embark on her first

tour to support Metamorphosis, beginning November 17 in Phoenix, according to a Buena Vista Records spokesperson. The theater trek then moves to the Golden State for three shows before heading eastward. Dates are only confirmed through November 30 in Norfolk, Virgina, though additional shows are expected to be announced soon.

Duff began rehearsing for the tour early last month, she said while in New York for the MTV Video Music Awards (see "Hilary Duff Plans Break From Movies"). She also provided some insight on "Come Clean," a tune likely to surface as the second single from Metamorphosis. The album's current single, "So Yesterday," continues to be a top-40 hit.

While prepping for the tour, Duff was also putting the finishing touches on two movies: "Cheaper by the Dozen" with Steve Martin, which is scheduled for a holiday release, and next year's "The Cinderella Story."

After debuting at #1 on the Billboard albums chart, selling more than 204,000 copies in its first week, Metamorphosis has moved more than 858,000 copies, according to SoundScan, since its release in late August.
