Default The Pilgrim Movie

Some observations about the episode where Greg made the Pilgrim movie:

Why were Marcia and Jan making such a fuss about who got to play Priscilla Alden. In the final movie, it just seemed like they were both playing generic pilgrim girls.

Peter made a better Indian than Bobby.

Alice looked pretty cool with a beard.

Greg was really bossy. I think the other Bradys should have put him in the stocks and then went out for pizza.

Mike was complaining about how much it cost to make fake snow. How much did a dozen boxes of corn flakes and some white spray paint cost in 1970???

That ep isn't one of my favorites.

I really don't like the ones where they're involved in school plays: Snow White, George Washington, the talent show, etc.

I did like Romeo & Juliet though.

One thing about that episode and some others: that house must have been built poorly if the parents could hear a typewriter downstairs when they were upstairs. I've lived in multilevel homes, and when you're upstairs, you usually can't hear much of what goes on below unless it is really loud. When you're downstairs, you can hear more above you.

I do like episode, though, especially the "I said show, not snow!" part.

I like the part when Greg filmed the Pilgrims setting foot on Plymouth Rock. It was someone's shoe getting splashed with water.

One of my all time favorite Brady jokes came from this episode.

Remember, Greg was getting upset with everyone failing to cooperate, especially Mike and Carol taking over the writing of the script and costume design.

Greg told his mother and father, quite rudely, that if he couldn't control the show, it would be "off."

Greg: And that's what it is....Off!

Later, Greg apoligized for "popping off" at Mike. Mike's reply:

That's o.k. son. You had a right to "pop off." Even at your Pop!

Marcia was so annoying "If I can't be Priscilla I'm not going to be in the movie!" What a brat.

Whose shoe do y'all think it was getting splashed on the rock? I've always thought it was Alice's, because she steps into liquid as comic relief a lot: the camping one (in the bucket of water) and the room-painting one (the bucket of paint).

What do y'all think?
