Talking Who has the largest DVD and/or VHS collection??

I was wondering who has the largest DVD and/or VHS tapes on this board. Not that the board is for trading, but I have at least 124 movies on VHS tapes not recorded off tv, about in-between seventy-to-eighty movies recorded off tv, about 100 Game Show episodes, Nearly all of Monty Python's Flying Circus shows with episodes one-to-thirty-nine, Almost all of the Veggietales videos. And I will let anybody know if I got much more.

Cool

Well, I dont want to brag but i think i have about 9 store bought dvds. Most of them are the $5.88 cheapies from wall mart. Ive been trying to trade off my master tapes for some of the more expensive dvds i cant afford, but, im real lazy about it. One day I'll have 10. .......... One day!

Well, i've bought some of the cheap $5.88 dvd's myself (nothing wrong with that). I bought Ozzie and Harriet, Andy Griffith, Pro Stars and Petticoat Junction. I just need a dvd recorder to convert the vhs collection.

I wish they would just come out with a VCR/DVD recorder combo so converting would be so much easier for everybody. I mean, they have dual deck VHS and DVD player/VCR so it's not outside the realm of possibility by any chance. If it doesn't happen soon, I'll probably start getting other people to dub them for me.

Well there ya go, then they have just about every combo except VHS/DVD recorder that plays all formats. This is one of the only combos they have yet to make available. I think they might be waiting until stand alone DVD recorders go down in price in about a year or two.

I've got 200 plus dvds, mostly movies along with music video collections and tv-on-dvd sets. Then maybe around 60 vhs movies I haven't sold off yet. I'm looking forward to having a large dvd-r collection in the near future as I've just purchased a set-top dvd recorder that features a Tivo-like hard drive, all the better to record, edit and organize my favorite tv shows before I burn them to disc. I can't wait.

Even cheaper than that was an old tv movie starring Robert Conrad, Coach of The Year. I remember seeing it when I was young and snapped up the dvd when I saw it for $3.99.

Are you able to copy those DVD's? I have been looking for Roots forever!! But spending that kind of cash for it is not within my budget right now. If so check out my list of TV on DVD's here because I might have something you need

http://www.geocities.com/moviedude25/tv/dvdrtv.html

BTW - what is www.dvdaficionado.com? I have seen this website three times this week talking with other people!

Not sure about the Roots discs, they may be copy-protected I haven't tried any dubbing yet. As for dvdaficionado, it's a free site where you can simply have an online catalog of movies/tv show sets/music video collections, etc you own on dvd. If you buy dvds and simply want to keep track of what you have (or what you'd like to have on dvd), you search for a title, check the box that matches your title and add it to your list. It works with titles that have been officially released on dvd, as opposed to stuff we may put on dvd-r's ourselves. It's simply a nice site to keep track of your dvd collection and share your list with others.
