I've been wanting to post something on this tread for along time. Since last year I didn't think much of sally field. But since TFN i've fell head over heals in love with sally and bought every thing I culd find on sally.

I also really liked to watch this show. I miss seeing the show on the air. It was a great show that the whole family could watch!

You're not the only one who loves Sally.
She's a beautiful woman.

Oh, yes! Sally was my second TV crush (after Annette Funicello of THE MICKEY
MOUSE CLUB). I loved her as both Gidget and Sister Bertrille and later she won my respect and admiration in her Oscar-winning performance as Norma Rae. Not just another pretty face but a very talented actress. She was the first female star to whom I wrote a fan letter (back in the sixties), and I still have the autographed photo the studio sent me. |

..unfortunately, my friend in Lodi, California, seems to have this idea that virtually everyone else (beside me) HATES it. I keep trying to convince him that there ARE people who DO like it....but he keeps reading the "Jump the Shark" website and the "TV Land" message board and......I wish I could convince him otherwise...*sigh*

I love The Flying Nun, on payday I'm getting the first season of the Flying Nun. The thing I loved about Gidget was, that it was shot in the Bewitched house.

But, the Lawerence's living room is not the same one from Bewitched. Edited to add screencaps from "Chivalry Isn't Dead" and "Gidget's Foreign Policy." Gidget and her friends are in Gidget's living room in the first 3 pics. The boys are on the Bewitched set in the last two. |

...I used to like this show when I was growing up and it was on ABC (on Wednesday nights, I think) but when TV land showed it, I watched a couple episodes, and....well, let me put it this way....I don't blame Sally Field for hating the role. The show's AWFUL!!!!

I remember the above pics and I thought Gidget's living room was the Bewitched living room. Wasn't Gidget in B&W in the beginning? That's where I first noticed it.

I don't think it was in B & W; but you probably got confused because all 3 series were filmed at the same studio.
