Thumbs down Unfunny 'Comedians'

1st person on *my* list has gotta be Bob Saget. Not funny. I think he invented unfunniness.

-Carrot Top...not funny.

-early Jim Carrey...not funny. Way too manic.

-I have lots of respect for his body of work & his more serious/semi-serious roles, but as a straight-on stand-up...Robin Williams.

-half the dudes on BET re-hashing classic Richard Pryor & Eddie Murphy.

-Paula Poundstone...not funny.

-Jim Breuer...*really* not funny.

...all I can think of for now.

My choice: Everyone on Seinfeld. They're all very much overrated.

I don't find Adam Sandler's stand up act funny. He mixes comedy with music, singing original songs and cover tunes.

It wasn't funny when Joe Piscopo did it either.

Yeah, Adam Sandler's opera bit drove me nuts on SNL, yet I enjoy his movies. I also don't care for Robin William's standup, but I love his movies.
Steven Wright, Boston comedian, can't stand the guy.
I never got George Carlin--a bit too cerebral for my tastes.
I used to like David Brenner.

lol well some of my favorites were mentioned:

George Carlin (you really have to watch his early years to get him Janice, his material progressively became a bit on the vulgar side, but in the end he is just a guy trying to get a laugh. Most of his jokes where he's insulting people, he's just making fun of human beings in General...sometimes not..but mostly he is)

Paula Poundstone: Is just great. I don't know there is something about her, when she's on stage you feel like she's just saying whatever is coming to mind. there is just something about the way she talks and says thing that is just funny.

Robin Williams: As an Actor and a Comedian. Just watch Robin williams live on broadway.

People I don't like:

Jim carrey..he gets tiring REAL fast

Adam Sandler: Never find him or his movies funny

Jay leno..is just NOT funny

I love Paula Poundstone too. I'm glad her life is back on track. Carlin, can't say I hate him, but not one of my favorites...too analytical.
I love Ellen DeGeneres. I saw her in person. She was great.
Roseanne used to have a hilarious standup act before her sitcom.
I also love Jerry Seinfeld's standup. I always felt like I discovered him, lol, because he'd be on Carson or Letterman years back, and I'd tell my husband, That funny comedian Jerry Seinfeld is going to be on.
I was such a fan of his a few years before he got his show.
I saw him perform live in 1988 before his show. Funny stuff.

Didn't like him on America's Funniest Home Videos or Full House, so I agree! Not very big on Don Rickles, either.

How could I forget the bore egomaniac Bill Cosby. He's so full of himself. He does that goofy routine at least once per episode on his sitcom.

And yes, Don Rickles always bugged me too. I'm not a fan of humor at someone else's expense. It's just nasty sarcasm.

I'm not either, Janice. If he didn't come across that way with his jokes, I might like him.
