I was thinking and here is a theory about the killer being Mardevil:

- In SOD Corday said someone from the past would return, someone that you wouldn't think and would have major impact. In my opinion, that return is the Devil's, from the past and it's not the first person you would think about.

- Celeste is having prementions of Evil and keeps pulling out death cards and such Longtime fans know that this is EXACTLY what she felt before and during the possession.

- Corday also said that the killer will be revealed in December and then the story will carry on through out the year Anyone who remembers 94-95 knows how the possession can be EASILY dragged out.

- Marlena is the last one to hear about the murders. I just find that very weird, and the fact that Corday AND Reilly have said numerous times that Jarlena will be in the center of this story makes me think Mardevil.

- The things Marlena is saying these days. For example tomorrow she says to Maggie, "I'm going to take 'care' of you" and how she stops Maggie's session right after she sees the eyes.

- The eyes, Maggie keeps saying PURE EVIL over and over and over, and they seem to be yellow in every showing. Ring a bell, exactly what was said during the possession.

And finally, the first time the devil came back the first time to destroy John and Marlena this time it's there to destroy not only J&M but all of Salem. Some of these points I used came from some people at a board I go to.

My thoughts on this theory: I HOPE and PRAY that it's not true, I don't want another possession. The first one was EXCELLENT but two would be TOO MUCH, and I don't believe this theory completely, I do think that Marlena has something to do with the murders, or maybe it's a Split Personality Sami, I'm not sure, but I don't think it's Roman at all. I just wanted to hear everyone's theories. If you get a new theory sometime just post it here and will keep theories on who the killer is.

Well, I don't think I would want another possession but I hope and pray that it does turn out that Marlena is the killer.

Although, it would be kind of nice to see her with the green eyes again.

I also hope and pray that it's not another possession. I agree that the first one was awesome but another one would just seem kinda cheesey. I'm still holding onto my theory that it could be Hattie disguised as Marlena. Or maybe it could turn out that Samantha isn't actually dead and is posing as Marlena. I know she died in the hands of the Salem Strangler, but you know soaps, when someone "dies" they aren't always actually dead.

The Marlena I'm seeing in scenes with John IS the real Marlena, I don't know if that's just Deidre playing her love for Drake so well, or what. But in my opinion, being the Jarlena Diehard I am, I believe that John would KNOW if that was his wife or not. I feel that if there is a posing character, I'm beginning to think she isn't possessed but that it's the pin prick from the island or she's being impersonated, that the posing character is only on part of the time and the REAL Marlena is on with John. Tomorrow's show, you'll see who I think is the imposter compared to Tuesday's REAL Marlena.

i know you guys are tired of me saying this but, curtis reed is the most evil character i have ever seen anywhere on tv. he's almost as bad as emporer palpatine in the STAR WARS movies. and that's bad.
just bring back nick benedict and the show will be so incredible.

I don't believe for one second that the killer is Marlena. If the killer and attacker are the same person, which I'm sure they are, the killer can't be Marlena. The attacker who attacked Hope is about the same height as Hope. Marlena is taller then Hope. The killer can't be Tony or Rex, why would either of them kill Cassie? I'm kind of leaning towards Phillip as the killer. While the killings were happening, where was Phillip, we didn't see him for weeks, all of a sudden he is shown. This might be pure coincedence, but after the attacker attacked Hope, Phillip had a bruise on his face. If it is Phillip, he is capable of killing, remember he was in the Marines and they are trained to kill. Unless this is the writers' way to throw us off guard. JMO!!!!!!!

I don't want her to be the killer really, but I just keep getting these gut feelings, I'm hoping she will just be frammed for them that way John can save her, though I'd rather have her save him for a change. I wish that he would get frammed and then she save him. Okay, now I'm just rambling again. What I meant to say before I got off track was that you made me remember Bo saying they'd have an injury, and you completely right about Phillip, and I haven't seen anything wrong with Mar. That's an excellent point.

...or maybe who we are seeing isn't Marlena at all. It's Hattie, who's been totally transformed into Marlena by Stefano, and now Deidre Hall is playing dual roles, Marlena and Hattie. Meanwhile, the real Marlena is being held captive by Stefano. Remember ... Hattie did have a nose job and a face lift, why not a total transformation into Marlena. But this would be a good storyline apart from the serial killer story.

Just a thought I had.

That's exactly my thought as well. I know that John and Marlena have such a strong bond that John would know that it isn't the real Marlena, but sometimes those Salemites just start taking those stupid pills and don't know anything. I mean, Bo & Hope have a strong bond and was fooled into marrying Princess Gina thinking it was really Hope (even though he had his doubts, but still)

about john, maybe he could be so distracted with the abe/jack caes that he won't know.

I feel like there is an imposter involved, but I also feel like Marlena is going to be blamed for the murders, as I said before I think Marlena is in the scenes with John and such, but as in Today's show that in my opinion was the imposter, which is probably Hattie and as you've said Dee is playing dual roles.
