Does Fry ever make it back to the year 2000 or was he stuck in the 31st century forever? Also, how come no one ever noticed that he was trapped in the cryogenics (sp) lab all that time?

1. No, he never goes back to the year 2000 (Except in The Why of Fry, but that timeline got destroyed. You'd know what I mean if you saw the episode.), if he did there wouldn't be a show.
2. Probably because they either thought he should be there or the front was too icy to see in. |

I dont remember Frye ever really wanting to go back. His girlfriend was unfaithful, he had a crappy job, his parents were violent drunks. They kind of set it up as a big relief that he was pretty happy to be in the future.

Bender's my homie.
![]() Frye did occassionally express regret about liking the future and sid he missed his family, but it was never really played off as too big a deal. In the ep where he was able to travel back to his own time to save himself from being frozen, he chose to stay in the future. The thing he was angriest about was that he was frozen in the first place instead of being asked if he would consider being frozen so he could be defrosted in a time where he could better serve the world. Those giant brains cracked me up. Too cool. |
