I loved, still love Selena's music. I bet she would be on international tours today if she were still alive. It's a shame she died so young. She was only about two weeks short of her 24th birthday.

I also love Selena. She is the only singer who can make me cry listening to her songs.

Same here. The song that makes me cry is usually "Dreaming Of You". It's a beautiful song and it was the song that was playing before the white rose got thrown onto the stage in Selena's dream in the film "Selena".

I love the movie they made about her...... Did that happen exactly as it did in the movie??

Thats sad her manager was stealing money and then thought he could get out of it by doing that

I think had she lived Selena would've become really famous and still would have concerts that would've attracted huge audiences everywhere. But what I think what happened was that if you watched the movie Selena many times you'll see what Selena was really like. Because from watching the movie and from reading various books about Selena's life I think Abraham Quintanilla was only interested in starting his band again but this time having the kids perform in it because I think he had this fantasy that he wanted a famous family group like The Jacksons or The Partridge Family and with Selena as the lead singer of his band Abraham knew that this was his ticket to fame. But to Selena's mom Marcella she only saw the band as a thing they could do as a hobby not for the fame and fortune. But what I can't figure out is why Abraham decided to open a Mexican restaurant when he had no expertise in the restaurant industry and I truly think why Selena's father wanted to own and operate a restaurant was just so the kids could perform. But Selena's mother had this phobia of the kids and Selena not being able to talk to strangers and what she wanted as it was told in the movie was for the kids to grow up in a nice safe neighborhood. But when Selena's father closed his restaurant it really hurt the family and so that's why they had to sell the house that they had just bought and live with relatives to make ends meet. But I think when Selena started becoming the love interest of Chris Perez her guitarist and they became crushes I think that's when her career started to go downhill first because in the movie and in real life Selena's father didn't approve of Chris Perez because he was different and he thought Selena would ruin her life if she got married when she was basically out of her teens and was 20 at the time. But I think the president of her fan club should've been let go and replaced with somebody who was smart to run Selena's fan club right Selena would still be alive today and be making lots more albums and be as big as Madonna
