One time I knocked on a door and said "Trick or Treat" and I got Soy sauce and Duck sauce packets.......

I got a half dollar from one of my neighbors one Halloween and there was this lady who would give out cans of pop. One of our other neighbors was a math teacher and he would always hand out rulers and protractors and stuff like that but only to the older kids. He still gave the really small kids candy.

One of my old teachers that lived on my grandparent road would give out weird stuff. Never candy though. One year she invited people in for hot chocolate. I dont remember the other stuff.

Besides candy, I've gotten little things like coins and also halloween pencils and erasers. The one house I remember the most was at my old neighborhood a guy was giving out toys to people and he let me pick one out. I got a plastic doll. Now, it's a piece of junk to me, but I was just 4 then and I was excited!
Also, there's a house in my cousin's neighborhood that gives out FULL size candy bars to trick-or-treaters. That's pretty cool!
