hey everyone...does anyone else seem to think that blair's character was made to be more naive and air-headed as the years went on? this sort of bugs me, i don't know why. but if you watch the first season eps compared to the later seasons, she seems to be more clueless and dim-witted. ya know?

the same thing happened with Denise on Cosby Show (who originally was supposed to be the "smart" daughter) and Chrissy on Three's Company (watch her during the 1979-1980 season with Don Knotts and look how stupid she was compared to how sophisticated she was during the first 2 or 3 seasons).
I honestly preferred Blair as an airhead (her in the "Into The Frying Pan" episode when she was trying to hammer a nail was HYSTERICAL) to the "b*tch" from seasons 1 and 2. |

I don't know if clueless but she was always somewhat naive even in season 2 but she more b***** then. I personally like her that way. She's hysterical when she's being goofy.

Good call! She really was like a total know-it-all type in the early years. I can't think of a good way to decribe how she was later. I guess she was a little like... flighty maybe. Whatever it was, she was just like funnier and in my opinion had a better personality. Like, if I knew her in real life I wouldn't have been able to stand her in like the first season and even into the other Eastland years. But I definitely could've dealt with her in the later years. I never really thought of it like that. I mean, I always knew Blair was more of a b***h in the early years, but she definitely changed for the better, although it is fun to watch her the other way.
