In the episode where Carol was writing a story about the family and was going to meet the magazine editor downtown, she was upstairs getting ready. The girls come down and say, real non-
chalantly, "Mom is getting ready for a date"...like there was nothing wrong with that! Wouldn't they think that was odd?? They acted like it was no big deal...and I know it wasn't a real date...but they didn't know that. Also, in the episode where Carol's old boyfriend, "Tank", comes to visit, Carol gives no consideration to Mike's feelings. She openly and blatantly flirts with him in front of her husband. Mike should have been furious! After a couple years, Carol's character got much more independent, outspoken, and free spirited. In the first season, Carol spoke real slow and quiet, acted shy and timid, showed more respect for Mike, and acted like she wouldn't make a move without his permission. She changed a lot. |

Maybe the girls meant "lunch date" not a "real date" perhaps? I don't think any of them really thought their parents would cheat on each other because it was pretty evident that they loved one another.
I've always thought Carol was "flirting" with Tank just to tease Mike or something, not to REALLY flirt. Yeah, she did change a bit from the first season to the last, but it was a good change, I think. She became more humorous and part of the jokes, not just leaving the sight-gags to the guys. |

If my wife acted like "Twinkles" did during the Tank Gates episode, she would have found herself sleeping on the couch. Or in the doghouse.

Yeah, I would never do that to my man... it was all in fun, but still, i wouldn't do that, and the fact that Mike wouldn't have done anything to Carol, still doesn't give her the right to do that. She didn't like when Mike was working day and night with "Gigi" (was that her name?) LOL |

Bebe Gallini.
"We're sorry Miss Gallini." "Sorry isn't good enough for Bebe Gallini. Goodbye, Michael. And goodbye to you, too...little woman." Mike did kind of tease Carol about a past love in that episode where he was going to his reunion (it was the "B" story during "The Big Bet" episode). Mike bet Carol that she couldn't figure out who his former girlfriend, "Bobo", was. |
