Thumbs down Seinfeld gaining because of games

Once a VERY distant second to the Wings board with only half of the posts, Seinfeld is closing the gap very quickly with a bunch of GAMES they're playing there. They will probably pass us very soon.

Rats!

I haven't been posting much lately. I just don't enjoy playing games that much. So if we started one here, I probably wouldn't play.

Come on people, talk Wings like you've never talked Wings before.

I really don't worry about it.....Most of the message threads on THIS board are really "meaty" and deal directly with the "Wings" series....episodes, characters, changes, etc.

Personally, I'd rather have a board with LESS messages than other boards and be a place where you can go for good "Wings" discussions than some busy, super-active place with a lot of silly games and nonsense messages.....

I'm thoroughly convinced that this "Wings" message board is one of the best (if not THE best) Sitcoms Online message boards going!

I think games and off-topic chats are fun. I love trivia games the best, and no, I do not answer all questions with "Ann-Margaret"

I know I'm in the minority, but I've always thought that Wings was much funnier than Seinfeld.

Games and off-topic chats ARE fun...but this board doesn't RELY on those types of things for posting activity. We have them, they're fun, but we also discuss the show itself....

I also know that we have some people here who like to admire and rave about the physical attractiveness of some of the show's players (I myself have posted messages singing the physical praises of Crystal Bernard more than once), and that's fine...but this board isn't JUST about that kind of stuff....

I've visited some other show's boards where just about EVERY message is about what a "gorgeous hunk" some actor is, or what a "hot babe" some actress is. While our board has some of that (and some of our funniest messages deal with that subject), we ALSO discuss and deal with so much more!

Default from a Seinfeldian:

Games & many of the [Sein] trivia posts are definitely silly, but we are talkin' about sitcoms/TV here. Our Seinfeld show is "about nothing," so it fits
We're Seinfeld fans so we like to laugh & be silly.

Us SeinGeeks know as much about out fav show as most fans, if you think our trivia games have no meat, then I'd have to assume you haven't read through them very thorough or just don't get it. We have tie-in refences throughout our post, if your not a SeinFan, they'll make zero sense to you.
For our show, meat equals hard core trivia & references!

Let's face it, Wings is a great show. & this is a good message board & it's members are bright & like they are having fun, that's what it's all about, it's not a competition for the most posts, & who can judge which forum is better. Most Seinfeldians would choose ours, most Wingers would post in yours, it's that simple.
I've read through [some] of the forums & the desparity is in your head, we're all a bunch of kooks talkin' TV for criminy sakes (the SeinBoard just happens to be talkin' about the 'all-time-greatest-sitcom')

Have fun-
Maestro

You're right, Maestro, it ISN'T really a competition (or at least it SHOULDN'T be)....

I am (and have always been) a big "Seinfeld" fan, so please don't take offense at anything that I said in my previous message...

Besides, we all know that you're jealous because the characters in YOUR favorite sitcom ended up in prison and OURS didn't! (Just KIDDING....Many thanks for your interesting post!)

This whole thread is ridulous. Who the heck cares who has more posts. It's about having fun...plain and simple. Meatier threads are not. THE END!

I don't think it matters how many posts we have. We're here to have FUN! not to compete and fight with each other. This board was pretty much inactive for the longest time and now has become very active in the past few months. The same thing must be happening to the Seinfeld board. Let's not start a war between the two boards. There's enough fighting and nastiness in the world already.

I am closing this thread. Let's keep the peace.
