you know what would be hilarious though? if randomly throughout the season Cheers members start showing up and staying on Frasier...lol and the second to last episode Diane shows up and stays to, and then they are all like "well we might as well just get Sammy since Cheers is probably empty....since we are all here" lol

A very, *very*, poor idea IMO. Lilith... yes, definitely - the rest of the Cheers cast - NO WAY!

A full-fledged Cheers reunion sometime down the road is inevitable, and a great idea, but I'd hate to see it happen on Frasier.

I agree, I meant have them come on in episodes leading up to the reunion. lol Cheers deserves it's own 2 hour movie special...hehehehe not a half an hour on Frasier time.

Still a bad idea IMO. We have already had a "Frasier meets with the old gang" show, a "Woody comes to Seattle" show, a "Diane comes to Seattle" show (and several other cameo appearances), and a "Sam comes to Seattle" show - so what more is there to do with "Cheers" for "Frasier"? (other than satisfying a Cheers fan's interest?). Lilith is different - her character is directly tied to Frasier because of Freddie and it is natural that she appear more frequently because of that. As for the rest of the Cheers people -no way! The Frasier story doesn't need any more reappearances by the people who inhabited that bar in Boston. That was another show and one that finished a long time ago (even a "reunion" show for Cheers sounds rather stale and has a pathetic quality about it, if you ask me). As Frasier himself would say "Let it goooooooo!" ;-)

Ah but see Cheers gave Frasier his neurotic personality (when he began on Cheers he was in the begginning sort of a Niles character). Frasier learned to "Wang Chung" in Cheers. Frasier met lilith in Cheers, he married her in Cheers, she dumped him in Cheers, and they got back together in Cheers. I know that Frasier is it's own great show, but it's great to see how Frasier's character changes to barfly-mode whenever he's around one of the guys.

Didn't we already see that in "Cheerful Goodbyes"? I realize that the character of Frasier had its beginning on Cheers (etc.), but he (and the other characters on Frasier) have grown so far beyond that now that to dip into that "well" once yet *another* time is just being redundant IMO. I enjoyed the comedy of Cheers, but why do some feel we have to mix it with Frasier again? It really isn't necessary IMO (and in fact, to do it takes away from Frasier as an independant show). It's like wanting an adult to dress up in baby clothes all the time - there is something about it that just isn't right.

Hey bri how did that one quote go?

was it something like

Frasier: As I was driving over to the festivities here tonight, I was uncharacteristically listening to one of the modern stations and a fine tune seem to capture the essense of tonights atmosphere. I would like to share this with you now:

Everybody Have fun tonight, Everybody Wang Chung tonight.

(all the guys in the bar cheer)

I see what your saying Valma, and I do agree that Frasier is a seperate show that has owned it's own merits with it's own fantastic cast. It's just that as a Cheers fan, whenever the Cheers atmosphere is "re-created" in anything, it's great for me. But I can see how a Frasier fan could get tired of episodes revolving around another show. Still, I can't help but feel excited whenever I hear that a Cheers Cast member will be on.
