Well...according to SNS, Thaao Penghlis (Tony DiMera) is the next to be killed off. What does everyone think about of this horrible news? Did you want Tony to stay or remain on Days?

I think it's totally outrageous and absurd. Seems as though they Corday is trying to kill off the DiMera family. First there's Cassie and now it's Tony. If that's their plan, it's a stupid plan, the DiMera's have been on Days for over 20 years.

I do NOT want to see Tony leave! What was the point in bringing him back, just to kill him off.

then that should eliminate rex (and tony) from the suspect list fer sure. we have already had andre and tony die on this show before. he may be the phoenix risen.

I like Tony, but with JER running the show he always disappoints fans. I hope Drake Hogestyn (John) is the next to get fired, he deserves it imo. He is stupid on the show, he can't act.

I still see Stefano coming back, once this story is over, I just have a feeling he will, getting rid of Tony will make that return possible or maybe Kristen's return. Cassie isn't a DiMera, she's a Brady, remember, so you can't count her and Rex as DiMera's.

I believe that as well. But if he does come back, they had better NOT recast him.

This serial killer storyline just keeps getting mre and more confusing, lol.

Sorry Jeannie, I know you like Drake, but his character John is an idiot. He is obsessed with the dumb DiMera's, he needs to get over it. I wonder what John will do after Tony is killed.

The next actors I hope get fired are the ones that play the dumb boring characters like Belle, Shawn, Mimi, Rex, Abby, and John.

If any of them do get fired, it better not be John and Rex. I like Shawn, but lately his character seems dull.

Dustin's Days website says he wasn't fired:

October 15
UPDATE! The letter circulating the net from Thaao/Tony (which I have removed from my site) was NOT written by Thaao. Thaao did not write the message confirming a firing or urge fans to start in a write-in campaign on his behalf! This news is official and comes from the studio! (Side note from Dustin: While it has been confirmed that Thaao did not write the letter, there is still no official confirmation on the rumor of his firing)

I thought SNS confirmed Thaao's firing. Is this going to be another fiasco, like last time. I can't handle another one!! I just want to know what the heck is going on. Is the man fired or not?

That letter may have been fake but Stephanie Sloane said today in the weekly SOD chat, that she has heard that he is gone, she thinks he's gone as well.

Meh I wouldn't really mind if Tony was killed off....as long as they bring back Stefano!!

I really hope all this firing will lead to the comebacks of Kristin, Vivian, Ivan, Eric, Peter, Laura and of course Stefano!

updated Though the show is still not confirming it, all signs point to Thaao Penglis (Tony DiMera) being the latest victim of the serial killer storyline! Tony is expected to exit sometime in November. This just in TVguide.com is now reporting that Thaao is exiting the show, though the show still has no comment.

It really looks like Tony will be next. I guess it was just the whole thing about the letter that wasn't true.
