He joined the cast in season 4. His first appearance was in episode 56 ("The New Landlord"), which was the third episode of season 4.

Don was the best

waaaay better then The Ropers

Don/Ralph did it all.. and I just love how he really like Jack! He didn't mind he was gay.. Roper did... plus he was the best at doing the misunderstanding.. when he would listen in the other room and then hear something sexual.. the way his eyes popped out

the best!

I love when Chrissy & Jack were putting up a Shower Curtain & Ralph was in the other room listening and then freaking out

You're right. I love the expression on his face in that scene!
I remember him overhearing Jack and Larry talking and got the wrong idea too. It's so funny when his eyes pop out and his mouth starts quivering!

The only time Mr. Roper smiled was after he insulted his wife and looked in the camera. Otherwise, he always had a mad look on his face. He should have been called Mr. Crankypants instead!

Furley had great expressions! He was much better!
