As it states above. I m looking for THE SINBAD series that aired in the 90's . It started in the same original line up as XENA. It used to be called action packed weekend . the Line was as followed
SINBAD HERCULES XENA It's the not the comedian tv series. The other series I m looking for is The adventures of Peter PAn animated series. Tim curry did the voice of CAPTAIN HOOK Also looking for canadian series MY DAD THE ROCK STAR & ROBIN HOOD series short lived series on WB . OR UPN? Not the series with M. Praed. However, wouldnt mind completing my collection of it. Here's the info on SINBAD: (1996-1998) (/U.S.) * 1/2 Zen Gesner ("Sinbad"), George Buza ("Doubar"), Jacqueline Collen ("Maeve") (1st), Mariah Shirley ("Bryn") (2nd), Tim Progosh ("Firouz"), Oris Erhueso ("Rongar"), with Julianne Morris ("Rumina").....Fantasy/adventure about the mythological Arabian sailor, Sinbad (played by the decidedly un-Arabic American Gesner), and his crew, loosely revolving around the notion of their quest for their lost wizard friend, Dim Dim (played by Wayne Robson), and a mysterious bracelet Sinbad wore. Buza played his strong-man brother; American model/actress Collen a sorcerer's apprentice with a pet falcon that is more than it seems, replaced by American actress Shirley as another novice sorceress and warrior; Progosh an inventor given to anachronistic devices; and African model/actor Erhueso a mute knife-thrower. Morris cropped up frequently as their nemesis, an evil sorceress. many of the other shows like "The New Adventures of Robin Hood" and "Conan" seemed modeled after Sinbad rather than "Hercules" and "Xena". Not just because they weren't very good, but in the emphasis on action at the expense of story and character, the use of ensemble casts, and even the dynamics of the characters ("Robin Hood" featured a blank-eyed lead, a lady warrior, a strong man, and Friar Tuck as...an inventor of anachronistic devices; while "Conan" had a mute character). "Conan" was cancelled after one season, and "Robin Hood" after two (despite major cast changes). Created by Ed Naha. Filmed in South Africa. Two seasons of hour-long episodes (including a double-length pilot, reviewed separately) and shown in Canada on Global. |
