Question Question about Barney

recently a local radio station had a trivia question about barney. they wanted to know his middle name. they said the answer was oliver. my question is, was that his middle name? i seem to recall when ever barney's full name was given it was always barnard p. phife. when i asked my husband ( a die hard griffith fan) he told me he thought at one time he was called milton, but wasn't sure.

could someone please tell me what barney's middle name was? its driving me NUTS!!

Cool

Barney's middle name is indeed Milton-see the episode "Class Reunion". FYI-Andy's middle name was "Jackson". Hope this helps! :-)

Actually, Barney is given three middle names. Well, two names and one initial: Oliver, P. , Milton

Barney had all three names at various times during the show.

Oliver, P. and Milton

It's that plus the fact that there were numerous writers over the years and one didn't necessarily know the details another added.

also, 40 years ago, noone knew that one day there would be countless channels showing it, and that people would one day be able to buy tapes of the show!
