Wink TJL Misses 4000th Post!

Breaking news hot off the Sitcoms Online Press

TJL Fails To Recognize His 4000th Post

Waves of disappointment swept over the Sitcoms Online community Sunday morning when it was revealed that Senior Member and righteous brother TJL used his milestone marking 4000th post to talk about his fantasy Hollywood couple.

“I am shocked and awed by my tremendous display of boneheadedness,” TJL said from his private penthouse boudoir in New York. “I was totally prepared to celebrate my 4000th post in grand fashion. I wrote a 4000-word sonnet in ancient Aramaic just for the occasion. Now all that’s in the crapper.”

On Sunday morning TJL used his 4000th post in a thread entitled “Matchmaker” in which Sitcoms Online Members were discussing fantasy Hollywood couples. TJL, longtime admirer of former “E.R.” superdude George Clooney, stated the actor would be great paired up with “One Fine Day” co-star Michele Pfieffer.

Sitcoms Online Creator and Executive Producer TJ expressed great unhappiness with TJL’s latest foul up. “Frankly, I think he’s slipping. It’s sloppy posting, pure and simple. I brought the post numbers back the day before, and this is how he repays me. Can I fire him? I think I can. I’ll look into that.”

Other Sitcoms Online Members were equally unsympathetic.

“If stupidity has initials, those initials are TJL,” Chit Chat Moderator and Red Sox aficionado Janice observed. “If you ask me, it’s all the booze. And that Hawkeye thing. No normal man should know so many Alan Alda quotes. He’s out of control.”

“He dropped the ball big time,” Dawsongirl added. “He dropped the ball, tried to pick it up, then dropped it again and it rolled down a hill and he tried to grab it but he fell down the hill tumbling over and over hitting a bunch of branches and a thorn bush and landing in a big puddle of mud and raw sewage from an overflowing septic system. Then when he got up, he couldn’t even find the ball. What a maroon.”

TJL has vowed to shoulder on through this latest goofup and promises his 5000th post will be one to remember. “I got the grand piano out of the closet and have started work on a show stopping production number. Several choreographers have already signed on, and we’re starting rehearsal this afternoon. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have leg warmers to iron.”

On my left, I saw days upon days of lipstick and ticking clocks, dirty looks and quiet whisperings. And burning secrets that just won't ever die away. And on my right, what could I picture? The blue sky, the desert earth, stretching out into the eerie infinity. A beautiful never-ending nothing.
