Default Allowance

Do you get an allowance?

If so, how much???

I get 10 dollars allowance every Sunday. it's actually 20 dollars, because at the same time, I get money for babysitting my brother, and money for doing chores.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr *takes your money*

I didn't get one- I quit getting an allowance when I was 10 or so. Now I just get the $ from my parents if I need one, because I don't have a job yet. I only take like $15 or 20 if I need it...not too much tho

I never received an allowance growing up. We all had paper routes to earn our spending money. I made anywhere from 25 to 40 dollars a week and would get around 200 dollars in Christmas tips. That wasn't bad for a 12,13 year old kid in the mid 80's considering most of my friends only got a dollar or two a week for doing chores around the house. I also babysat on occasion. This one lady I babysat for payed 5 bucks an hour to watch her 2 kids which was a fortune to me. I also lived near a golf course so my friends and I would retrieve all the lost balls and sell them to the golfers for 25 cents apiece and make money that way.

I never got an allowance, but then when I was like, 13-15 or so I asked for one. My mother said Id have to do the dishes and stuff, blah blah for $5. Needless to say, I did them like once, and got paid for like 3 weeks. I didnt need an allowance, they bought me everything anyways. And when I didnt have a job and went out with my friends, theyd just offer me their money. I have a job now, so I try not to ask for anything, but if Im desperate theyll give it to me.

Nope, don't get one. I usually just ask for money...my parents typically give it to me, unless I've made them mad.
