Default It's a shame UPN didn't exist in the 70's because these short-lived sitcoms would

have lasted longer.

Sanford Arms
Sanford
Baby, I'm Back
That's my Mama

Maybe the last two would have lasted longer. Redd Foxx might have been a handful at that time. Sanford Arms was just a bad idea period!

Why would they survive if UPN existed?

Because UPN carries most sitcoms that target minority viewers. Back then there were only 3 networks and it was a lot tougher to stay on the air. But now there are networks like WB, UPN and FOX and you have a chance of surviving longer on the air

These 3 shows did not stink

SAnford Arms
Sanford-VERY ENTERTAINING
Baby, I'm Back

All of those shows are better than these Current UPN Sitcoms

Parkers
Girlfriends
EVE
All of US
Half and Half
One on One

Whch is why Sanford Arms would have lasted more than 30 days, Sanford would have lasted more than a season and Baby, I'm Back would have lasted more than 8 months

BTW the Parkers been on the air since 99 and is no where near as entertaining as the 70's sitcoms I listed
