I am a serious Cosby Show fan and I credit Bill Cosby for my love of jazz music. It is two episodes which featured a song in the background that I simply haven't found anyone who knows the jazz musician. The first episode which it was played was in the very first season of the show. Cliff and Claire were modelling their attire during a "smooth contest" when Claire had broken her foot at the time. The other episode for which the song was played in more length is when Claire turned 46 years old and Cliff brought out several birthday cakes topped with strawberries. Claire swore that she didn't want the cake that particular year, but after Cliff brought several cakes out, she eventually took a piece. The jazz song features a piano tune for several minutes before introduction of a saxophone much later. Incidentally, this is the same episode where one of the Three Tenors is featured on the show. Does anyone out there know the name of this jazz tune and its musician?

I am familiar with the episode, but not the song title (though I can hear it in my head). Just a minor correction, this episode is actually from the second season, and it's the episode where Clair broke her toe.
