My thoughts:

~ The Flying Nun doesn't need to keep airing. Put on something like Donna Reed

~ STOP rerunning box sets

~ Time Warp is GREAT. I can't wait. The American History Marathon (however, they're showing 4 episodes of Bewitched but not the Thanksgiving one!) and Andy Griffith marathon look good too

My thoughts:

~ For November, replace The Flying Nun with Dennis the Menace in the Twice as Nice block.

~ Switch the evening slots of Sanford and Son and I Love Lucy so that ILL comes on at 9pm and S&S at 11pm. Please keep in mind that the Sanford and Son episode that airs during the 9pm slot is on again the next day at the 7pm timeslot.
The switch would allow the timeslots of Sanford and Son to be spread out a bit. Also, it's about time to bring back I Love Lucy to the 9pm prime-time slot.

~ Get rid of the Andy/Beaver hour at 10:00pm and replace it with a Mary Tyler Moore hour with her show on at 10 and The Dick Van Dyke Show at 10:30.

~ Re-do the thanksgiving event a bit. We don't need four Bewitched episodes in this special event. That's a little too much. Give other shows a timeslot in the event such as I Love Lucy, The Munsters, Mister Ed, The Dick Van Dyke Show, ect.

~ Do away with The Andy Griffith Show altogether. That show has been on TV Land for such a long time. Give it a rest.

~ Get Rid of Leave It To Beaver at 8:00 and bring back Happy Days and The Brady Bunch to those slots. TV Land runs LITB to the ground ALL THE TIME. It's getting so sickening.

~ STOP IT with the constant repeating of the same box sets. They are getting so old and warn out. Make new ones.

~ Since two episodes of I Love Lucy are airing a day now, why not move the show to the Twice As Nice Block?

~ Bring back Lucy Saturdays but this time add The Lucy Show to it.

~ Last but certainly not least, acquire the rights to The Lucy Show and air it as soon as possible.

Here's my suggestion November Line-Up:
11 AM - 2:00 PM: Hour-Long Shows ("MacGyver", "Fantasy Island", "Bonanza", ect.)
2:00 - 8:00 PM: Twice as Nice ("Dennis the Menace", "I Dream of Jeannie", "I Love Lucy", "Mister Ed", "Bewitched", and "Sanford and Son")
8-12:00 AM: Primetime shows ("The Brady Bunch", "Happy Days", "I Love Lucy", "Bewitched", "Mary Tyler Moore", "The Dick Van Dyke Show", "Sanford and Son", & "I Dream of Jeannie".)

Here's my suggestion Thanksgiving line-up:
7:00 PM - Mister Ed 082- "Ed Discovers America"
7:30 PM - The Munsters 006- "Low-Cal Munster"
8:00 PM - The Brady Bunch 029- "The Un-Underground Movie"
8:30 PM - Happy Days "The First Thanksgiving"
9:00 PM - I Love Lucy 059- "The Indian Show"
9:30 PM - Bewitched The Thanksgiving episode
10:00 PM - All In The Family The Thanksgiving episode
10:30 PM - Sanford and Son TBA
11:00 PM - The Dick Van Dyke Show TBA
11:30 PM - I Dream of Jeannie 008- "Americanization of Jeannie"

TV Land also should air the classic WKRP Thanksgiving episode. "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!"

TV Land should bring back The Bob Newhart Show and add Newhart. Then put them on back to back every night in prime-time. That would be a great hour.

Default What is TV Land Thinking?

This is perhaps as good a place as any here to post my feelings about TV Land. It is obvious that the programmers there are not a day over 25 or their programming would reflect truly classic TV. Whose idea was it anyway to run "The Brady Bunch" and "Happy Days" all the time? These shows are classics??? I hardly think so. "Fantasy Island" never should have been put on TV Land in the first place. We don't need to see anymore of that Aaron Spelling crapola. TV Land should be running more Lucille Ball, Burns and Allen and Father Knows Best and add to the list Jack Benny, Joan Davis, "Your Show of Shows" and "The Carol Burnett Show".

The programming department at tv land should all be fired!!!

i read silly suggestions time and time again from viewers suggesting shows that tv land doesn't have the rights to air, but scheduling a thanksgiving marathon and not including the hazel, mister ed and wkrp thanksgiving themed episodes is just plain STUPID....They have the rights to all three of them! and aired them countless times over this past summer....it's terrible when people don't know their business!

I'm really enjoying the time warp tonight. It was great to finally see The Jeffersons for the first time in years (I got TVLand this past August) and nice to see Mary Tyler Moore again. Also, I was just wondering Pav, are these episodes uncut? Compared to TVLand's other shows, they seem longer for some reason, and there's no split screen or voiceover over the credits (Which is great). I don't know if it's just me, but I was just wondering.

I think the same thing. I think they wanted it to really feel like 1975 and I LOVED the unedited, no split screen/voice overs versions

Bravo TV Land!!!!

OK, the changes are posted in the first post. TV Land December was only supposed to have one change, WKRP 4-5 p.m. Mon-Sat replacing The Flying Nun, but that will not happen now. If there are any questions on the changes, let me know. It is sort of confusing.

I think I'm most happy about Twice as Nice being pretty much gone (Except 3pm).

This is probably a dumb question, but Kitschen is the same? I scrolled fairly fast through the changes and didn't see a mention... or could it still change... (well, obviously, lol)

This is probably a dumb question, but Kitschen is the same? I scrolled fairly fast through the changes and didn't see a mention... or could it still change... (well, obviously, lol)
I'm not sure about the Kitschen yet. I think it's the same schedule though. I'll find out.

Wow, Mr. Ed is already down to two slots a day? Never saw that coming.

Too much LITB. 5 episodes every day except Wednesday, which has 11. Stupid idea.

I like the fact that Lucy made it to a nice, 5:30 slot. (I havent seen the show in years, but recently got back into it) but hate the fact that TVLand skips so many episodes.

WKRP would have been nice everyday. That show deserves to be on more.

Not bad, but it could be better. Marathons might be a good idea for the time, but soon, people will get sick of it. I know that I liked watching Bewithed every night at midnight MST. Plus, the shows will get worn out if they're going to be shown 6 times in a row.
