Ok, In the ep where Jo & Blair think their parents are getting married and Blair says she'll get a last name no one can spell, (Polniaczek), well, her Mother's been married lots of times and she'd never changed her last name, so why now? Even though they didn't get married, that is still strange...

yeah that's true. maby this time she doesn't want to be different cause she'd be the only one without the name polniaczek.who knows.

I agree that Blair wouldn't really change her name...it was just a joke.

They were only thinking logicaly. Because when two people get married and have kids from a prevouis marrage they might adopt each others kids. So if Jo's dad adopted Blair then her last name would change. But they don't have to adopt.

Sometimes it really makes me think that the writers for the show never really research earlier episodes to keep consistent. BTW,
isn't it weird that Blair's "mother" in that one episode in the first season looked more like an older sister? They didn't even try to make Monica Warner look anything like the "earlier" mother.
